"Actually, I made my intentions -- made my views clear. I did think we ought to extend the assault weapons ban, and was told the fact that the bill was never going to move, because Republicans and Democrats were against the assault weapon ban, people of both parties."

KABA Note: That depends on how you define "gun crimes". If you are talking people who have harmed no one, nor threatened harm, but are in violation of some unconstitutional ex-post facto laws, then yes, prosecutions are up. If you are talking about locking up violent, serial predators and keeping them locked up? Not so much. |
