| The members of the NRA don't seem to get upset when the NRA spends their money to support candidates that vote against them and ignore their rights. Why would they mind helping in this cause? The truth is the NRA wants the gun debate to continue because it keeps the leadership employed. |

Gee, the Lefties got their hands out again !!! The NRA is dumb enough to give them the money too !!! Dear Citizens of Oakland, Dugh, you already have the laws. Stop wasting money on SWAT teams, pot busts, and traffic cameras, get off your lazy butts and do your job. Stop wasting your time and money on the deaths of gangbangers and folks who will never evolve no matter how much money is thrown at them. MArobe |

Why doesn't Oakland ask their State Senator for the money? I'm sure he would try to get State money. I believe Don (Bretta) Perata is the MAN! The ex-milkman who gave us California's a case of gun bills that we haven't found a cure for yet! |

| You know the NRA is leaning left when a city wants money from them for a program that enhances gun control. I've been saying that "Project Exile" is a bad idea from the start. The next step is that we'll all be criminals by doing nothing - just being a gun owner will be enough. What then? It's just like with registration - confiscation is sure to follow. Institute Project Exile, then make everyone a criminal. More laws are always bad news. |

| Oakland ran all gunshops out of town, it didnt' stop the violent crime. Now they blab about doing a "project exile" program, when their DA (like San Francisco's) are perfectly capable of posecuting these thugs, BUT CHOOSE NOT TO, and now want to palm off prosecutions to the Feds?(who have no rightful jurisdiction)..More socialst/emotionalst eyewash for the ignorant and an excuse to grab more guns...If Oakland embraced CCW & home defense with banned "assault weapons" ,crime would go down FAST... |

| I, as an NRA member (likely not for very much longer) think that they (the NRA) should tell Don (the hypocrite) Perata to shell out the money for Project Exile from his own war chest. Then he can say he did it without the NRA's help. I just cannot see that idiot giving credit to ANYONE but himself for a job well done. To his constituents: Lay this at his doorstep. See what he does. Base your future voting on it. |
