"The National Rifle Assn., one of the country's most influential lobbying groups, is wading into the presidential campaign with television commercials that criticize Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts as an opponent of gun-owner rights."
"The Democratic nominee's camp flatly denies the charge."
"The NRA's advertising drive, including a 30-second spot that aired on cable TV last weekend, comes as the gun lobby is savoring two recent legislative victories here in the capital."
"On Sept. 13, the Republican-led Congress allowed a 10-year-old ban on certain kinds of assault weapons to expire — with no public protest from President Bush. Last week, the House voted to repeal a law banning certain handguns in the District of Columbia." ... |

| Regardless of what some may view as willingness to compromise on the part of NRA leadership, get out those checkbooks and send a donation to NRA/PVF. I already have. |

I believe that there are at least 10% of gunowners who don't know about Kerry being an anti, a political whore for reelection, and a flaming liberal.
Amazing but true!

| That would be the 10% that read Field and Stream's coverage of the two candidates in this month's issue. |

Haven't seen any photo ops with an armed George W. Bush. Is he afraid he'll turn off the liberals who wouldn't stop to spit on him if he were on fire? They WOULD walk a mile to buy some marshmallows... Clinton fooled a LOT of people with his faux-Bubba act, too. Latest poll I heard was Bush 49%, Kerry 49%, Nader 1%. The country is effectively bamboozled. |

So Bush wins the presidential race and due to the patriot act the Dumbocrats win the majority in the House and Senate. Bush wants his annual budget passed so he compromises by signing the new and more stringent assault weapons and magazine ban. The Dumbocrats compromise by giving more tax breaks to the wealthy, but add more welfare spending to the budget. It's a win-win situation for the combined Republicrats of our one party system.
Isn't life wonderful.

Sportsmans rights? The 2nd has NOTHING to do with sportsmans rights. Besides, hunting is a priviledge. You get caught with a game violation, your priviledges - not right - could be revoked for a period of time. |

| If you look at the Republican's current proposals, they lay down the preliminary work required to enforce total gun bans. The Democrats bills don't seem to give law enforcement any more power to enforce new gun control laws, so as long as you don't take it out of your house or make the cops suspicious enough to watch you, you might actually do fine for a while. The Republicans however are preparing ways for LE to know that you are a firearms owner long before any total bans are put in place. The ability to search all commercial databases means that if you bought ammo with your credit card no too long ago, they know it, and even if it was a box of .22, they could still use this as an excuse, just to make sure you didn't have anything naughty |

| Now, whether or not the Republicans truly want us disarmed is not completely know, surely some of them want too, but the those representing states (Such as 'Bama) with longstanding histories of firearms use most likely don't. So the problem is, all of their "anti-terror" proposals are setting up the perfect foundation for a true police state, all that is needed now is a willing dictator, uh I mean, president. Disbanding the legislature and having politicians who complain shot would be the first steps. And this is guarenteed to hapen eventually because while the Repubs may only intend to use these until the "War on Terror" is over, most of these laws don't have a sunset provision, they'll just keep going and going and going... |

| There are days when I weary of speaking to deafened ears and I dispair. Yet I hear your words and remain optomistic for our country, our form of government, our fellow citizens (yeah...you guys and gals reading this), and ourselves. Forces are seeking to move us in directions we KNOW not to tread. And they have not moved us. We are American citizens, we are Minutemen loyal to our country, loyal to our Constitution. I still can see in you the vision of those who founded this nation. We are a force to be reckoned with, not because of our firearms, but because of our ideas, our ideals, and the truth. That which is to be the future of our nation is yet to be written. Let us write our future. We must control our own destinies. |

Forget the NRA. Forget Bush. Vote Libertarian and help the anti-gunners win the white house. Kerry is a supporter of your 3rd party devision.
Dumb libertarians and their anti-American president wannabe. |

I’m not a Republican, a Democrat or even a Libertarian, (although I agree with the LP more than the other 2.)
I’m a Rifleman.
Do you want to defend freedom in America? Quit supporting politicians who claim to love the Constitution while they flush it down the toilet. They are the “domestic" enemies the Oath of Service talks about!
Freedom can only be won or preserved by force ("The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.")
If you don’t have a battle rifle; GET ONE, and LEARN TO SHOOT IT.
If politicians (regardless of party) know that you're armed & ready to defend the Constitution from them, they might stop trashing it before they are shot for treason. |
