Macedonia police asked Facebook users to decipher a fake gun from a real one to raise awareness of the dangers of toy guns, WKYC reported.

Officers recovered a fake gun from a juvenile, posted a photo of it next to an officer's firearm and asked users if they could make a split-second of which one was real.

If you're trained to 'see a gun, kill a citizen', and expected to perform that task instantly, then you do indeed need to make a 'split-second decision', if you don't mind being a murdering ****.

Otherwise, no need for action unless the person with the gun-like object is committing a crime, like assault or robbery with it. If they're using it in an armed robbery, does it really matter all that much to the defensive shooter if it's a firearm, airgun, or toy/replica?
