Another title for this "news" report might be: Pro Constitution Means 'Anti Government' -------- "Police Chief Mark Weldon on Wednesday warned his officers to be extra careful during traffic stops after a threatening letter was found at the memorial for an officer shot to death by an anti-government fanatic."
[Not "Pro Constitution, Pro Liberty Advocate", of course. Not "Anti-Tyranny," either.]
A new excerpt from this so-called "letter" -- which looks like a setup and may very well have been written by a BATF agent -- is reported:
"More will die leaving more grieving spouses and children and they say they are 'just doing their job' like the World War II war criminals."
Why is predicting a highly likely occurrence a bad thing? Political, social and historical trends follow set patterns. One such pattern is that freedom-minded people will only take so much from an oppressive government before they raise the black flag. The fact that the anti-rights crowd invests a great deal of energy avoiding facts and likelihoods when it comes to the police state buildup is not a good reason for liberty advocates follow them over that cliff of ignorance and pretense that everything is okay when it isn't.
To UPI's credit, they didn't report on the alleged but apparently ultra flimsy "link" to a militia the Ohio press has clamored to "cover".
May both of the fallen rest in peace. And may the anti-militia forces in Ohio either produce some real evidence of a militia link, or simply crawl back under their rocks. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
