I fail to understand why so many fear legally owned firearms, possessed by law-abiding people, especially those who hold proper concealed carry permits. Statistically, when it comes to improper or unsafe use of firearms, the threat that this group presents to any other law-abiding person is negligible. In fact, at the moment, I cannot recall ever reading anything factual about a concealed carry permit holder being charged with a firearms offense.
What this rule change does is extend Second Amendment rights to include geographic areas where, in the past, a normally law-abiding person could have found themselves in trouble just because they were driving on the wrong piece of road with a firearm in their possession. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Today the taxing power, rather than chattel slavery, is the instrument by which the parasitical element of the population subsists. And that element, which includes politicians, panics at the slightest reduction in the state's power to plunder. Once you start liberating taxpayers, even a little tiny bit, nobody knows where it may end. —Joseph Sobran |
