In some minds, gun owner=terrorist. Terrorists have rarely used guns in attacks in this country, Islamist "Beltway Snipers" John Allen Mohammed and Lee Boyd Malvo being one exception. This is opportunism of the worst sort.
When the Brooklyn Bridge was being built, (pre-Sullivan Law?) any New Yorker, and any American, could buy and carry a concealed gun with no questions asked. Bloomberg is giving us the big finger yet again. Our ancient and unalienable rights are outdated and must be sacrificed to the paradigm of "freedom from fear." |
