"This legislation would:"
"Add the .50 BMG caliber sniper rifle to the list of firearms classified as 'destructive devices' under the National Firearms Act ..."

.50 caliber is already as large as you can go without constructing a Destructive Device.
Anyone else see what those f-- communists have planned? First they will make .50 DDs. Then .45s will be added to the destructive device list. Then .40. Next .38, .32, .223, .22, .17 |

As per usual, just chipping away for any small gain in control over those evil guns. To my own personal knowledge at least two makers of .50 rifles have developed new weapons firing either .416 or .408 caliber projectiles that are more accurate and have greater range than the .50BMG round. So, yes if they win this one they'll just have to incrementally keep on chipping away by the decimal inch or silly millimeter until they reach zero. |

| Hey, it's not a .50 BMG round. It's a .50 BMG SNIPER round. Get your facts straight... |

| I love it that they have to submit their names to these stupid, and unconstitutional, bills. I've already got them on my list so I'll just add another checkmark against them. |

| Does this mean that I can't get a semi auto version of the 1919 in .50 cal. Or is it that my .50 cal flintlock (which was used in the war of independence as a sinper weapon) will be outlawed. |

I'm convinced this b*&ch is one of the worst. I think she is truly an elitist who thinks she's better than most everyone else. Sure wish she'd go away -- however she chose to do it.
By the by -- where's Schumer? Hard to believe he didn't get his handle on this.
Sure hope if things go wrong in the near future, that some of the "good guys" have a few of these .50s. We've read ad infinitum that civilians would have no chance against the military. The .50 BMG is definitely an equalizer,in my book.
Question: what's the poop on these 14.5mm mgs the enemy is using in Iraq? They sound potentially awesome, like the 50's big brother or something. |

The problems stem from her subcommittee activities from 2001 to late 2005, when she quit. During that period the public record suggests she knowingly took part in decisions that eventually put millions of dollars into her husband's pocket - the classic conflict of interest that exploited her position and power to channel money to her husband's companies.
In other words, it appears Sen. Feinstein was up to her ears in the same sort of shenanigans that landed California Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R) in the slammer. Indeed, it may be that the primary difference between the two is basically that Cunningham was a minor leaguer and a lot dumber than his state'
