"Not far from Fenway Park in Boston and visible from some of the busiest highways on the East Coast is a 252-foot-long, 20-foot-high billboard with a message: 'Stop Traffic: Background Checks Prevent Crime,' alongside enormous silhouettes of handguns. The accused? In equally large letters: Georgia, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont."

"Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, city police leaders and a group called Stop Handgun Violence unveiled the billboard's message to raise public support to change federal law so background checks would be required for private handgun sales. Federal law requires background checks only on purchases from licensed firearms dealers -- primarily gun stores." ...

KABA Note: So if Vermont guns cause crime in Mass., why don't they cause crime in VT?

If I were the governor of one of those states, I'd have Menino up on charges of libel!

The gun control fraud doesn't work, and when it doesn't, the liars who said it would, have to find someone else to blame besides themselves.

If someone really wanted to create a stir, put up a billboard in Boston with the cover of the book, "The Bell Curve" with the caption that herein lies the cause of crime, the low-IQ urban underclass.

They might as well put up a billboard that says Cars made in out of state auto factories cause Drive By's, Murder and Drug Sales since every gang banger uses a car to do his dirty work. Maybe we should ban cars, they kill more folks every year than firearms. If it will save just one life...

Typical of people who do nothing for their community. They blame everyone else except themselves. We live in NH and our crime rate is nill. Except for Manchester of course where the only crime being committed is by people from Massachusetts moving into the city to start their own crime ring. These Mayors seriously are insane. If they are that passionate about this issue when they send in the JBTs to confiscate guns from innocent people they should be leading the charge into the homes.

Strangest thing....any two-year old can comprehend what 'Shall NOT' means, why can't these politicians?

You don't suppose it has anything to do with POWER or CONTROL do you?

No?

Well, it was just a thought....

Mayor Thomas Menin"yo" who talks like he has Kennedy’s balls in his mouth was recorded giving a statement on the success of the democrat controlled state Gov’t at some event that went something like “we have done a very good job stopping the PEOPLE from getting what they want…”
When you live in a state that requires the Jaws of Life to pry a political hack out of office you will be surprised what comes out of their mouths “the truth”.

What, they're not blaming Virginia?
Boston is one of the northernmost points of the East Coast Megalopolis, a supercity that stretches from the southern suburbs of Washington DC through Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC and north through eastern Connecticut and Mass. High-density population means less respect for each individual person, by neighbors AND the authorities. That egg can't be unscrambled. Blaming places that are different AND BETTER is the usual tactic. A solution forced upon the people. A FALSE "better way."

More like Ted Kennedy's watery graves.

KABA Note: So if Vermont guns cause crime in Mass., why don't they cause crime in VT?

Because... Unlike Harrassachusetts, in Vermont people can carry arms for protection without having to jump through "legal hoops", and thus aren't rendered essencially defenseless.
