Western Illinois University students passing through Horrabin Hall Tuesday may have noticed two tables — one covered in baked goods and the other displaying an assortment of candy and a stack of targets — flanking the door to the ROTC indoor firing range. For $1 per target or $5 for 6 targets, WIU students, faculty and staff had the opportunity to participate in the WIU ROTC's annual Halloween Pumpkin Shoot. The targets, however, were not actual pumpkins, but Halloween-themed paper targets. "I thought (the target) was going to be an actual pumpkin," said WIU freshman Viktor Rusenas.
