"An 11-year-old was suspended from Mary McArthur Elementary School on Tuesday after he brought a toy gun on campus."

"'The children told the assistant principal that the student was showing it on the bus,' said Wanda McPhaul, Cumberland County schools' spokeswoman."

"The child was released to his parents, said Debbie Tanna, spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office."

"Detectives from the Juvenile Division were investigating, she said."

"The AirSoft pistol shoots plastic pellets, Tanna said, and has a magazine clip that allows the handler to change out empty cartridges."

"The pistol looks similar to the 9mm guns used by law enforcement officers, Tanna said." ...

what a display of ignorance. most air soft don't have cartridges, and a soda straw with a spit wad will give you similar velocities. suprisingly enough a straw is similar in appearance and function to the deadly blow guns used by some tribes. this calls for immediate legislative action. BAN STRAWS NOW your childs life may depend on it.

Yeah, because there is only one type of 9mm handgun in use by Amerika's police forces.

Kid is lucky, after what happened at VT I'm surprised the storm troopers weren't called in to kill all the students. You know, just to be on the safe side.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military, the hired servants of our rulers. Only the government — and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws. — EDWARD ABBEY
