"Prime Minister John Howard and state leaders today agreed to consider a detailed proposal to restrict handguns, including an amnesty and a buy-back."

" 'The prime minister is proposing that there be an equal sharing arrangement of the funding between the commonwealth and the states for that buy-back,' Vic Premier Steve Bracks said." ...

"Mr Bracks said today's meeting of premiers and chief ministers considered two proposals for gun law reform - one from Victoria and another from Prime Minister John Howard." [There's a fancy new way to describe stripping people of their rights and their property.]

"He said the two plans concurred in most details and included proposals to reduce the number of handguns, toughen up licensing procedures, and define handgun sports in much greater detail."

"Mr Bracks said his plan for psychological testing of gun licence applicants would also be considered, as would a proposal for handguns to be stored on club premises." ...

I have several Australian friends, and for one, I feel very sorry for what's going on there, didn't these people learn anything.

That's what makes us humans so unintellegent, we never learn from our mistakes. Will the world ever wake up?
