"The Sabah Shorinji Kempo Association has initiated a 'Shorinji Kempo for Ladies' programme beginning this month for the benefit of housewives, working ladies and schoolgirls, among other target groups."
"Its President, Grand Master David Wang, said for a start, it will conduct a one-day self-defence workshop for members of the United Sabah Chinese Women Association (USCWA) at its main training centre at Km 2.5, Jalan Penampang, off Lorong Landak (opposite Taman Fortuna)."
"'Our centre can accommodate about 100 learners. The programme encompasses five components - application of the pressure points on the human body, basic strikes and kicks, defence against attacks using the techniques of evading, blocking and catching, hand release techniques, twisting and locks, and techniques for using things available at hand.' " ...
------- The best "thing available at hand" is a gun. Unfortunately in India you have to give the authorities a very good reason for wanting to carry one. |
