"One man was apparently shot to death early Saturday morning, and police believe the person who killed him may have been defending himself or herself. Officers responded to 3020 Rockingham Lane at about 3:26 a.m. and found the man's body. Police have not released the man's name, pending his family's notification. Maj. Wendell Rummage said the man had lived in Concord for just a few months."
"The man appeared to have been killed with a handgun, but investigators are waiting on the medical examiner's report before making a final determination. Police interviewed at least one witness but found reason to believe that the slaying was in self-defense, Rummage said. No one has been arrested and police aren't seeking any suspects." ... |
