"Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort will testify today at Wisconsin's joint legislative hearing on carrying hidden, loaded handguns in public places such as child daycare centers, hospitals, nursing homes, banks, private businesses, and virtually every public setting. Wisconsin law enforcement officials oppose carrying concealed weapons (CCW) in public places due to the threat to public safety and the risks associated with putting more deadly handguns on the streets."

"Wisconsin law enforcement officials oppose carrying concealed weapons (CCW) in public places..." Does that mean that your Detectives go UNARMED? Do they want people (Other Than Cops, OTP) to carry openly? I highly doubt that. As such, get your ignorance political opinions out of politics and let freedom regain it's rightful place at the head of the table. Let EVERYONE carry, Vermont style or Alaska style, as they wish.

Note the use of "hidden" and "loaded", rather than concealed. They want to conjure up the image that anyone carrying concealed is automatically up to no good!

semantics - being used more and more.
'hidden' implies bad intentions, else why hide something?
Have seen this word used in many places for the same purpose.

Oh Noooooooo, not loaded guns. Oh please are we such a barbaric country? Would that we could be as evolved as the Canadians and not need guns. Sarah Brady please pass more laws to take our guns away.
