How am I supposed to tell who's dangerous and who's not? A gun certainly makes you look dangerous. I didn't actively protest the political message (as the brave six did) because, truthfully, I wouldn't feel safe if I saw those same people later in a store or at the movies. I certainly didn't want to provoke them.
I also have constitutional rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in my everyday life. People who have guns at movie theaters, restaurants, county offices come on, Ronny and public parks scare me. They are not protecting anyone's rights, they are jeopardizing them.
The rare murders in our quiet little town are usually committed by family members with legal weapons. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our Founding Fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the second amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of the country. For that reason I believe the second amendment will always be important. --JOHN F. KENNEDY |
