Ahhh, the old "gun show loophole". You do realize that this "loophole" is a private sale? There's nothing different between 2 hunting buddies selling one a shotgun between each other whether they do it at a gun show, a flea market, in their back yard or, heaven forbid, in their OWN HOME!

So to close this "loophole" you would ban private firearms sales?

To quote this misguided article, "The right to bear arms does not require the United States to be the no-hassle shopping mall of terrorists and other violent criminals."

Does anyone else besides me see the fact that these people were caught? Is anyone else besides me tired of the anti-self-defense crowd strapping the attacks of 9/11 on the backs of all their gun-grabbing agenda?

How about this one? "The public can no longer afford to sit back and allow the NRA to cloak the likes of Boumelhem and Claxton in the American flag. "

How about, "The public can no longer tolerate the disgusting media bias against a person's right to self-defense and firearms related sports/pastimes?" Claxton's comment about, "We have nothing like this at home..." Do you know why? Because in THIS country we have our freedoms instead of a tyrannical government stripping all of your rights and turning you into loyal subjects! Just like inane journalists can spout as much tripe as they want, without a permit mind you, I have the right to defend myself, my family and my property.

On a side note, McCain is on the AGS (Americans for Gun Safety) payroll. In 2000 he was paid approx. $2 million for his antigun show ads by the AGS, in addition to the movie theater ads he did for them. Everyone complains about how a lobby group has a politician in their back pocket when money is involved and it doesn't support their position..... Why doesn't anyone complain about this little bit of info? He might not be a hysterical gun control advocate as you put it, but he's certainly well funded by them....
