Subject: Gun culture kills a father, city's future

Exactly who is the gun culture in your article? Is it the lawful citizens of the US that own firearms or is it the lawbreaking street thugs?

I'd venture a guess that you don't even want to make that distinction.

I'll make my comment short and to the point. In Maryland, it's the criminals that have the run of the streets. No amount of "gun control" is going to save you because it's that very 'gun control' that has created the safe gun-free environment the criminals love.

If a person cannot defend himself, who will? The police? Nope. In court cases all over the US (http://www.copcrimes.com/courtcases.htm) it has been ruled that the police do not have an obligation to protect the public, only to enforce the laws.

I cannot remember the author, but there is a quote that comes to mind and it's something like, "The logic used by proponents of gun control is such that when a teenager drives 70 in a 25 MPH zone, the outcome is to lower the speed limit to 20."

I am a member of your so-called "gun culture". I am not a thug, I am not a criminal. I am a peaceable, lawful citizen of the US and I do not take kindly to being lumped together with the dregs this country has created via "public policy".
