Today's 5 Minute Activism

Call two of your closest gun-owning friends and invite them to have a lunch or a dinner with you. Set aside the free time to invest with them discussing various gun-related and freedom-related issues. Urge them to put some thought into what is bothering them about this issue and to be prepared to discuss ideas on how to pull people together in your area.

Though the actual meeting will obviously take more than 5 minutes, the above steps can be done in less than 5 minutes, and since you eat every day and we're talking about your buddies, you can easily fit a nice meal and some quality conversation into your schedule.

The Arizona TUG Group got its start in this exact same way...pals sitting down and discussing how to get some things done.

Send in your own ideas for good 5 Minute Activism steps by emailing 5MinuteActivism@KeepAndBearArms.com.  Our goal is to have as many people as possible taking similar steps, every day.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004)
