Biography of Richard W. Stevens
Mr. Stevens worked for nearly ten years as a computer systems analyst, then
began a new career after graduating with high honors from the University of San
Diego Law School in 1988. He practiced civil litigation in California, then
moved to the Washington D.C. area where he taught legal research and writing at
the George Washington University Law School and the George Mason University
School of Law for several years. Mr. Stevens currently specializes in preparing
legal briefs for trial and appellate court cases.
His articles on a variety of subjects have appeared in legal and other
publications, and he is editor of the Firearms Sentinel. He also authored a
standard reference book for lawyers and judges in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Stevens has appeared on television programs and radio talk shows across the
country, discussing Dial 911 and Die, the right to keep and bear arms, and the
