Guiding Principles of Keep And Bear Arms .com

The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the land, and each article is to be interpreted in the exact spirit or sense intended at the time of its writing. The Bill of Rights was a required addition to the Constitution; it is part OF the Constitution.  No part of the Bill of Rights may be stricken or amended without nullifying the entire document.

While firearms are inanimate objects, they are useful, proven tools for preventing and deterring crime. Criminals are solely responsible for their actions, period. Blaming guns for the actions of criminals is misguided.  Harassing, criminalizing or demonizing peaceable gun owners is morally wrong and constitutionally illegal.

Our Constitution affirms the right of each citizen to keep and bear whatever arms he/she chooses.  It recognizes that gun ownership is an essential protection against both crime and tyranny.  Therefore, any attempt to infringe upon our right to arm ourselves is unconstitutional, irrational, and a threat to individual well-being as well as that of Liberty itself.

Gun control legislation is not binding on criminals in a practical sense, or in most cases, a legal sense.  Criminals by their very nature disobey laws and will always manage to obtain weapons. Every criminal who commits a violent crime with a gun breaks laws having nothing to do with the gun itself or with possession of that gun.  Therefore, virtually all gun control laws are not only pointless, they are actually harmful victim-disarmament or pre-confiscation laws and have no place in a free country.  The vast majority of gun control laws are, by nature and definition, wicked and illegal, and in Constitutional truth they are null and void.

Rules and Requirements to Become and Stay a Member with Keep And Bear Arms .com

These are the Rules and Requirements for becoming and staying a member of this Private Association of Liberty Advocates.  If you are unwilling to abide by the rules, you may participate in all public venues according to the policies of this web site—but may not become a member of our Private Association.  All who agree to the following are welcome additions to this association of individuals and organizations who are actively and aggressively participating in the reclamation of full Constitutional freedom in America.

As a member of Keep And Bear Arms .com:

  • I agree to be attentive to the unconstitutional beliefs discussed within my sphere of influence.  When someone makes false statements that reflect their lack of knowledge or understanding of the right and necessity of firearms freedom, I will assist those who are open to explore Facts that could contribute to their assessing the situation from a place of reason and logic.  I agree whenever possible and appropriate to help wake people up to the dire and urgent need to uphold, protect, and defend the United States Constitution.

  • I agree to honor the Truth more highly than the preposterous and debilitating notion of “political correctness.”  I agree to contribute in some way, however large or small, for the Liberty of this and future generations, to The Solution to the wrongful acts committed against the freedom Real Americans hold dear.  I agree to be in action in some way toward our mission of returning America to a Constitutional Republic.

  • I will VOTE in each election where I am able, and I will encourage other gun owners and freedom lovers to VOTE.

  • I agree to stay positive, focused, and solution-oriented.  If resignation, cynicism, or skepticism come for me, I agree to face them squarely, let off the required steam, and stand my ground in my knowledge and commitment that America is being reborn anew based on the Liberties outlined in the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights-- an integral portion of the Constitution--and the Declaration of Independence.  We CAN restore America, and together WE WILL.  If I still have doubts, I will turn my attention to moving into “American Restoration” thinking.

  • I agree to have FUN whenever possible while understanding that the assault on the civil rights and the right to self-defense is very serious business.

I have read and agree to these terms

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
I do believe that where there is a choice only between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908 [by an Indian extremist opposed to Gandhi's agreement with Smuts], whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defend me, I told him it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. Hence it was that I took part in the Boer War, the so-called Zulu Rebellion and [World War I]. Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. — Mohandas K. Gandhi, Young India, August 11, 1920 from Fischer, Louis ed.,The Essential Gandhi, 1962
