When it comes to picking your next semi-automatic everyday carry (EDC) handgun, two calibers that you should consider are the .380 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) and the 9mm Luger (9x19mm NATO, 9mm Parabellum). Both cartridges fire the same 9mm (0.355”) diameter bullet, but the .380 ACP has a shorter overall case length and is, therefore, the more anemic round. |

Justice Sonia Sotomayor in a fiery dissent harshly denounced a Supreme Court ruling Friday that rejected a ban on bump stocks, saying it “eviscerates” the congressional regulation of machine guns. “Today, the Court puts bump stocks back in civilian hands,” Sotomayor wrote in a dissent joined by fellow liberal Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson. “To do so, it casts aside Congress’s definition of ‘machinegun’ and seizes upon one that is inconsistent with the ordinary meaning of the statutory text and unsupported by context or purpose.”

The Sightmark Wraith Mini is a thermal scope that will not bust the budget yet comes full of features, including the ability to zero the scope with two to three shots.
Thermals of various brands have long been coveted by predator and wild hog hunters alike, but have often proven cost prohibitive. On average, thermal rifle scopes start around $2,000 to $2,500. From there, prices can rise to $6,000 and nearly $8,000, depending on the brand. |

While browsing the Certified Used firearms for sale on Guns.com, I found a strange-looking tactical shotgun labeled “Beretta 1301,” but something did not look quite right. What was that skeletonized stock? It is equipped with a red dot sight, too! I had to check this out and immediately requested it for review.

A ban on guns at the University of Michigan will stand after the state Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from a man who said the policy violates the Constitution.
The 4-2 order Friday means a 2023 Michigan Court of Appeals decision in favor of the university stands.
The appeals court was asked to look at the university’s 2001 gun ban, after the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022 expanded gun rights.
“The efficacy of gun bans as a public safety measure is a matter of debate,” the appeals court said. “However, because the university is a school, and thus a sensitive place, it is up to the policy-maker — the university in this case — to determine how to address that public safety concern.” |

The moment it clicked to me that the 22 ARC might have more potential than being just another gas-gun varmint cartridge was when I sent five rounds in a row into a 16-inch steel plate at 1,000 yards in a 10- to 12-mph crosswind. The surprising part, to me, was that I was able to hold the same windage correction I just used with my 6.5 CM bolt gun shooting 140-grain Sierra MatchKing bullets.
