A gas station clerk in the Georgetown neighborhood shot a man in self-defense following a tense confrontation outside the Chevron station on East Marginal Way South on Monday evening, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD). The incident unfolded around 6 p.m., when the clerk, who was on break and sitting in his car, asked two individuals to leave the premises after observing them using narcotics in the parking lot.
The situation quickly escalated after the man, identified as the suspect, became hostile and threw a rock, shattering the clerk’s car window.
The suspect allegedly threatened the clerk, stating, “I’ll shoot you too,” causing the clerk to fear for his safety. |

In yet another example of how people bent on mayhem and murder will find any way to accomplish their evil plans, a Columbus, Ohio, man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to run over three people with his vehicle following an argument. Sure, who hasn’t thought this was the best way to resolve a conflict? Fortunately, in yet another shining example, it was ultimately an armed citizen who stopped it from happening.
Alexander Oglesby, 32, of Northeast Columbus reportedly drove his car onto the front lawn of a residence in the 1800 block of Noe Bixby Road in the early morning hours of October 5. |

The Ecuadorian National Assembly’s recent approval of a new firearms law, which imposes strict requirements on civilian gun ownership, represents a significant and dangerous misstep. While the law was designed to curb rising violence and criminality, it achieves the opposite—placing law-abiding citizens in greater danger while criminals continue to operate with impunity.
The legislation, which includes stringent conditions such as a minimum age of 25, psychological evaluations, and Ministry of Health-backed certifications, may appear well-intentioned. However, this is an illusion of safety. For honest citizens who want to protect themselves and their families, these restrictions make it nearly impossible to own a firearm legally. |

The Supreme Court’s Bruen decision, which affirmed the right to carry firearms outside the home for self-defense, is seeing an unprecedented rise in popularity.
Two years after the ruling, a recent Marquette Law School poll indicates a 70% approval rating for the decision—a notable achievement given the controversial nature of gun-related policies. But the Bruen decision isn’t just about public opinion. It’s playing a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of gun rights in America, and the Supreme Court’s latest actions reflect its ongoing influence. |

Gun control is one of the most polarizing issues in American politics, and it's been a topic of contention in the 2024 presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have been at odds over guns — Trump has told voters Harris "wants to confiscate your guns," a point Harris denies. She wants to see stronger gun control laws on the books but also says she's a gun owner. Here are Trump's and Harris' stances and policy plans to address gun violence in America. |

As the election nears, voters are considering the two leading presidential candidates’ records on a wide range of issues, including civil liberties – a broad term used to describe the constitutionally protected freedoms that protect citizens from excessive government power. These key freedoms are contained in the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution. For example, the protection for free speech under the First Amendment and the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment define people’s abilities to criticize the government and own weapons for private use. |

The first booth inside the entrance of the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival, held the weekend of October 12, offered attendees a place to register to vote.
The booth had flags up calling for people to vote, and a sign that read, “30% of Pennsylvania hunters are NOT registered to vote—hunt or be hunted,” with “hunt” crossed out and “vote” written in its place.
“We have a lot of hunters in Pennsylvania,” said Tanya Rivoles, who was working with the booth. “Unfortunately, some of them are real back-woods-ers, like us, and they don’t want to really get that involved.” |

There are no two greater amendments to protect with our vote than the first and second amendments of the U.S. Constitution. The first is backed with bullets of the second.

It’s now up to a federal judge to decide what’s in store for Illinois’ gun and magazine ban.
Closing arguments in the case Barnett v. Raoul were filed in the Southern District of Illinois federal court of Judge Stephen McGlynn by late Monday. McGlynn gave litigants that deadline at the conclusion of last month’s four-day bench trial in the case.
Plaintiffs argue the Protect Illinois Communities Act violates the Second Amendment for a variety of reasons, including banning firearms commonly owned for self defense. The state argued the banned guns are too similar to military firearms and not useful for self defense. The state also asked McGlynn to issue a stay on any possible permanent injunction to let them appeal. |

The defeat of a public housing gun ban in Cortland, N.Y.—as reported earlier by Ammoland News—was not the proverbial “first rodeo” for the Second Amendment Foundation on this subject, and the group’s track record by now should have been a warning flare to every such facility in the country they cannot stop the Bill of Rights at the front door. Such battles have been erupting since at least 1995, when the National Rifle Association successfully challenged a public housing gun ban in Portland, Maine. The state’s highest court struck down that ban, which had existed for the previous two decades, according to the Roanoke Times, ... |

You can influence the Supreme Court of the United States, and it is easier to do than you might think. The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has become the linchpin for preserving the Constitution of the United States of America.
Over the last 70 years, SCOTUS has been used to radically change the United States’ legal structure. Progressive justices, both Democratic and Republican, have used the power of the court to accomplish things that could never have been passed through Congress. This was one of the methods Progressives considered as ways to “get around” the limits on government power that the Constitution put into place. |

In today’s heated political climate, it is all too easy to witness cognitive dissonance on full display, particularly when discussing President Trump and the Right To Keep & Bear Arms.
Many self-proclaimed pro-gun individuals express disdain for Trump, resorting to name-calling and wild accusations—often referred to as “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS)—without recognizing the dissonance between their expressed values and their political choices. While it’s one thing to dislike a political figure, it’s another to allow that personal dislike to cloud logic, especially when the other major candidates, like Kamala Harris, have records that strongly contradict the core beliefs of pro-gun Americans. |

If you’re reading this, chances are pretty good that you already realize that guns don’t commit crime; people do. Sadly for us, those same bad actors sometimes use a gun in those crimes and when they do, the media blames the gun. It’s even worse when the gun used is a big, black, scary rifle. Deemed an “assault weapon” by the media, it keeps the associated myths living on.
What can we do to debunk those myths? Read on! |

Few things are more frustrating to lawful gun owners than politicians trying to fund one government program or another by placing additional taxes on them, even though they played no hand whatsoever in causing the problem being addressed.
Such is the case in Colorado where a ballot initiative would place an additional 6.5% excise tax on the retail sale of firearms, firearm parts and ammunition to fund domestic violence programs in the state. |

Marquette Law School’s latest national survey of how Americans rate the Supreme Court contains some hidden gems. Despite relentless attacks on the high court’s ideology and integrity by the lawless mainstream media, the individuals surveyed hold the Court in increasing esteem and regard. And they avidly support one of the high court’s most controversial and important decisions, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen.
That decision, along with a more recent one, United States v. Rahimi, which held that only “when an individual has been found by a court to pose a credible threat to the physical safety of another” may he be temporarily disarmed “consistent with the Second Amendment,” is widely supported by those surveyed. |
