I can remember the first time I went out to the range with my father after I purchased my brand-new Glock 17 handgun. I had stopped by my local ammo retailer and picked up several 50 round boxes of Winchester White Box, it was 115 grain FMJ 9mm Luger loads.

The internet over the weekend proved that nothing is forgotten as President Donald Trump's nearly two-year-old video on concealed carry reciprocity swept social media anew. Trump originally promised to bring about national concealed carry reciprocity as part of his 2016 presidential campaign but a bill, despite passing the House on a 231-198 roll call and having 40 co-sponsors in the Republican-controlled Senate, never made it out of Congress to Trump's desk.

The Second Amendment Foundation is celebrating a huge victory in U.S. District Court in Illinois in which the court declared provisions of the Protect Illinois Communities Act (PICA) which criminalize possession of so-called “assault weapons” and “large-capacity magazines” is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment. The case is known as Harrel v. Raoul.

The second edition of this book is just coming off the press now but I have to point out a glaring mistake in it that can easily get the reader killed when dealing with dangerous African game.

Over the weekend President-elect Donald Trump announced a push for national concealed carry reciprocity, a move which would make the concealed permit of any one state valid in the other 49. On Sunday, Don Trump Jr. posted to Instagram, “Boom! My father just announced concealed carry reciprocity. The Second Amendment will stay and remain protected.”

Investigators said the deadly shooting at a St. Petersburg home that was under construction has been deemed self-defense. The shooting happened at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday at a vacant home located at 1400 Farragut Drive North. The St. Pete Police Department said the home was under construction and being remodeled by a work crew.
