There are tons of reasons to shop around online for the gun you want, or the gun you didn’t know you needed. Guns.com is the best place to buy firearms online because, when you shop with us, you’re shopping inventory from thousands of local shops across the country.

You don’t have to worry about who or where your gun is being shipped from. All FFLs selling on Guns.com have been fully vetted and maintain storefront businesses. You are not buying a gun from an unknown dealer selling inventory from his basement. Plus, if you’re unsatisfied for any reason, we won’t leave you without a customer service team like those other online retailers.

Democrat Mark Kelly is won Arizona’s US Senate seat late on Friday, according to preliminary, unofficial numbers from the Associated Press. Kelly won with almost 52 percent of the vote. His opponent, Blake Masters, gathered 46 percent of the vote, with third-party candidates and write-ins accounting for the remainder.

Ed.: At posting, this makes 49 D to 49 R, with GA & NV outstanding. Rs need both GA & NV to control the Senate. R is currently leading in NV by about 900 votes; GA goes to a runoff election in a month.

The human body is a remarkable mechanism; it is advanced, yet animalistic when it needs to be. If we study our physiological response to stress, this becomes incredibly apparent. When a threat appears, adrenaline courses through our veins to assist us in fighting it off or fleeing the area. As a byproduct, this produces tunnel vision, which helps us to concentrate on the most-immediate threat, which is typically square in front of us. The problem with this is that in many instances, a secondary attacker is positioned adjacently just a few feet to either side of the original one.

NY: Solve the gun issue — and solve crime issue

Your editorial “Wanted: Communication on crime” [Opinion, Oct. 30] cannot begin until we first solve the gun problem in this country. America has become a "killing field." The right to gun ownership given to us in the Second Amendment has created an atmosphere and environment in this country that lends itself to all sorts of gun crimes, including mass killings. Solve the gun problem and you solve the crime problem to a large extent. See how Australia and Canada have dealt with this terrible, important problem.

...O’Rourke proposed a mandatory assault weapon buyback program, recalling the 2019 El Paso Walmart shooting and other gun-related massacres.

“Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, AK-47.” O’Rourke said.

However, during a podcast episode in “Unlocking Us” with Brene Brown, released Oct. 17 of this year, O’Rourke provided a different perspective on this issue.

“It’s fun to shoot, and I’ve shot AR-15s and AK-47s, and I can attest to the fact that they are fun to shoot.” O’Rourke said.

He explained how he wanted to defend the second amendment by supporting universal background checks, a red flag law, and raising the age from 18-21 to purchase an assault weapon, all of which could potentially gain bipartisan support.

IL: The price we pay for unrestricted gun ownership is the lives of children

More disturbing is Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data that 4,357 children ages 1 to 19 died by firearm in 2020, making it the No. 1 cause of child mortality in the U.S. A Kaiser Family Foundation comparison of the U.S. with peer nations shows that more children died by firearm in the U.S. than in the other 11 countries combined.

What makes today’s gun crime so alarming is that it is indiscriminate: Victims are random; motives are vague or unclear; the weapons are more powerful, easy to access and harder to trace; and the ammo is capable of piercing car doors or house walls. The result is children are often collateral damage. We live in terror.

The tight Nevada governor’s race, which has held national attention during the 2022 midterms, has been called by NewsNation/ Decision Desk HQ in favor of Republican Joe Lombardo.

Incumbent Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak has been locked in a narrow race for reelection against Lombardo, the sheriff of the most populous county in the state. The two once worked together to raise funds for the victims of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history that took place at a Las Vegas concert in 2017. Since then, campaigning has left no fond words between the candidates.

Ed.: Sisolak is a gun-grabber, so it is a good sign to see him defeated.

Taurus, manufacturer of fine handguns for defense, hunting, and sport shooting, just introduced a new model of their popular award-winning GX4 striker-fired, locked-breach handgun series pistols. It has a 13+1 capacity and slightly increased size, though it still seems easy to conceal and shoot. It is in the “Crossover” category since it blends a longer barrel with a somewhat short grip and 1.08-inch width to have a pistol that is easy and comfortable to carry, with minimal printing, while offering better performance due to the longer barrel and sight radius.

The elections are over, but the dust certainly hasn’t settled on the legal battlefield where gun control has collided with the Second Amendment and the U.S. Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen.

As Insider reported last time, the Second Amendment Foundation went to bat for a couple of New York State clergymen — Bishop Larry A. Boyd of Buffalo and Rev. Dr. Jimmie Hardaway, Jr., of Niagara Falls — who have been fundamentally disarmed by the state’s new and hastily-manufactured concealed carry law which declared churches to be “sensitive places.”

All of this explains how Oregon could have voted to essentially ban gun purchases and create a defacto state gun ownership registry.

One of my favorite gun rights commentators, Bill Kirk of Washington Gun Law, says purveyors of this destructive measure wrote it to stop people from getting and using guns, period. The measure goes into effect in 30 days and Kirk says “the infrastructure and the curriculum necessary so that people can jump through these hoops and still exercise their right, won’t be in place for years, if ever, therefore precluding any Oregon resident from lawfully obtaining a firearm.”

Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has inched ahead of her Democratic challenger as votes continue to be tallied Friday.

In an unexpectedly tight race where the freshman lawmaker, an ally of former President Donald Trump, is vying to secure a second term, Boebert has jumped forward in the count for the first time since tallying began earlier this week.

The people of Iowa have voted to add a state Constitutional amendment that protects the right to bear arms. Iowa Amendment 1, The Right to Keep and Bear Arms Amendment, was passed with an overwhelming 65% of the vote.

The amendment states that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The sovereign state of Iowa affirms and recognizes this right to be a fundamental individual right. Any and all restrictions of this right shall be subject to strict scrutiny.”

But let’s take Polymeropolous at his word and forget for a moment, noting that as a CIA intelligence officer, he swore an oath to the Constitution. He is presuming to apply terror rules against U.S. citizens on U.S. soil for, in the case of gun owner advocates, exercising our First Amendment-recognized right to defend and promote our Second Amendment-recognized right.

Though guns are the leading method in deaths by suicide in the U.S. for both veterans and the general population, firearms account for a larger share of deaths by suicide in the veteran population. Firearms were involved in nearly 70% of veteran suicide deaths in 2020, compared to 53% for the general population.

Ed.: While the VA certainly doesn't support the 2A, veterans in distress can get free, and confidential help, by phone or chat at https://www.veteranscrisisline.net.
