The match managers at the Paul Bunyan Sportsmen’s Club enjoy putting on shoots that are certainly seasonal in nature.
That is especially true for the Paul Bunyan Plainsmen, the muzzleloading group that calls the Paul Bunyan Club, near Puyallup, Washington, their home or base camp. For the match just before Halloween, Jim Haeckel did put a fine shoot together, with a mixture of paper and steel targets. To borrow a phrase from Mike Moran, it really was a “spooktacular” event. |

When it comes to varmint hunting, there are few rounds that can compete with the popularity and success of the 223 Remington. Since its release in 1964 and adoption by the US military, the 223 Rem has been nigh untouchable as the go-to option for plinking, long range target shooting, and varmint hunting. |

The 30-30 Winchester and 30-06 Springfield are two of the most popular big game hunting cartridges in North America and have been in production for well over a century. One was forged on the battlefield while the other cut its teeth in the woods, but both are nothing short of Second Amendment legends. |

It would be ridiculous for anyone to believe Kamala Harris’ (D) claim that she is “in favor” of the Second Amendment, but it says a lot that she is trying to deceive. It would be just as nonsensical for voters to buy the claim from Harris that Donald Trump (R) would “terminate the Constitution of the United States.” But that is what she said. |

Sales of guns took a temporary pause last month as the public headed into an Election Day that could determine the future of the Second Amendment. The FBI said background checks fell, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the firearms industry group that parses those reports for sales numbers, said they were down about 5%. |

If you are reading this, and you have not yet voted, stop what you are doing and go vote for the Second Amendment RIGHT NOW. At this moment in history, there is NOTHING more important than fulfilling your duty to protect our country. This election is THE most important election of our lifetime. A Congress controlled by the anti-gunners will mean the end of the Second Amendment as we know it. Standing to protect the Constitutional right of all Americans to keep and bear arms is an essential duty for all patriots. |

Harris said in a recent tweet she will be “president for all Americans.” However, like most of what she serves up on her public Twitter account, her tweet is long on smiles and handshakes but short on actual information.
There is no credible source for whatever it is Harris intends to do if she is elected president today. She has not held a single real press conference in 90 days, while Donald Trump holds them daily – hourly now that the last voting day has started. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. — Thomas Jefferson, Encyclopedia of T. Jefferson, 318, Foley, Ed., reissued 1967. |
