The popularity of the AR-15 rifle and its many diverse variants makes it a juggernaut among American long guns. As a firearm platform, the AR has been sharpened by decades of military service, not just with the U.S. military but with dozens of other nations as well. Beyond that, the American commercial market for this gun has generated new and increasingly innovative design improvements. |

Florida is a state known for sunny beaches and red state politics. I've actually heard a state lawmaker describe it as the freest state in the nation. Of course, this was at a Second Amendment gathering where people know how restrictive the state can be on guns. They're not anti-gun, but not the most pro-gun, either. |

This week saw a horrible attack on one of America’s largest college campuses. The shooting, which left two dead and six more wounded, is the first significant test of President Donald Trump’s gun policy. Contributing Writer Jake Fogleman explains why, at least initially, gun-rights activists will be satisfied with his performance. And why that wasn’t necessarily a given. |

Second Amendment advocates were dealt a blow this week when a U.S. Appeals Court determined a decades-old Massachusetts ban on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines could be kept in place.
Their ruling, issued Thursday, is the latest win for Massachusetts gun control advocates as they’ve faced a series of challenges to the state’s strict firearms laws. Those legal fights increased after the state passed a sweeping firearm legislative package last July further bolstering gun restrictions and prompting several more lawsuits from pro-gun advocates. |

There is an open revolt currently taking place at the Department of Justice (DOJ), as Biden-era deep state holdovers are ramping up their insubordination campaign against Attorney General Pam Bondi and President Trump. This rebellion follows a growing pattern within the DOJ. Just last month, acting U.S. Attorney Michael Simpson argued in United States v. George Peterson that the Second Amendment did not protect suppressors, only to be sent back with his tail between his legs to request a 30-day delay in the court’s ruling so the government may “further consider its position.”
