There’s a heck of a lot more than classy looks going on with Walther’s re-release of its historic PP pistol chambered for .380 ACP. This gun has shooting chops to back up its suave stainless-steel profile.
I’ve been shooting – and carrying – this big brother to James Bond’s Walther PPK on and off all winter and into the spring. Not only is the stainless finish still pristine, but this all-metal gun has proven to be a comfortable companion. |

Mexico has extinguished its constitutional arms right and now seeks to extinguish America’s,” stated the NRA’s amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case Smith & Wesson v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos. The oral argument took place on March 4, and the Court’s decision is expected by the end of June. Based on the Justices’ questions during oral argument, there is reason for cautious optimism that the Court will enforce the federal statute that prohibits abusive lawsuits designed to destroy American firearms businesses. |

In the seven years since the NRA’s corruption scandal first broke into the open, there hasn’t been a members’ meeting quite like the one on Saturday. While others, especially 2019’s meeting, have been more explosive, none have been as consequential. For the first time, a majority of NRA members in the meeting sided with reformers and passed a substantive resolution. The resolution itself may not bring about a massive immediate change, but it does send a symbolic message about where the internal reform effort is at in 2025. |
