Budget-friendly gunmaker GForce Arms teased two new large-format pistols, the 9mm Blade6 and Jawbone, at the NRA’s Annual Meeting for 2025. Their arrival is just in time to add two truly affordable options to the wave of PCC-like large-format pistols that are increasingly flying off manufacturers’ assembly lines this year.

Both guns run on Glock mags, which is perhaps the best feature a 9mm large-format pistol or pistol caliber carbine can have these days.

As the name implies, the HUSH, or Henry Ultimate Suppressor Host, series is designed to be the perfect lever gun suppressor host. With suppressors exploding in popularity, Henry saw a growing demand for modernized, suppressor-ready lever guns. “Once you get a suppressor, you never go back,” Henry’s product director George Thompson said. “So, we’re embracing that trend.”

I was eager to discover the best ammo for the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Shield because it is the compact pistol I use most often as my concealed carry gun. I tested many brands and loads at the range. Below is the ammo I am confident loading in my Smith & Wesson Everyday Carry (EDC).

Why has the Internal Revenue Service spent “at least $10 million on guns and ammunition” to arm 2,100 special agents, in addition to buying 4,500 guns and 5 million rounds of ammunition, including 539 long-barreled rifles, 15 submachine guns and hundreds of shotguns?

It’s challenging to decide what the deadliest shotgun ammo is. To reiterate the preceding disclaimer, all shotgun ammo is potentially lethal and must be treated with care. That said, some shells have undeniably greater destructive potential than others. The 10 Gauge shotshell has greater destructive potential than any 12 gauge shotshell; however, the 12 gauge is the most prolific shotgun in the world, which is why it’s the focus of this article.

Democrats in Connecticut’s House will weigh a bill this week that would allow citizens to sue gun manufacturers, marketers, and dealers over the criminal use of firearms.

The CT Insider noted that the legislation is being pushed as a way to create state-level options for filing lawsuits that are barred federally by the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).

A coalition of pro-Second Amendment groups, Republican lawmakers and sheriffs in Colorado sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi making the case for her office to look into gun laws they argue are unconstitutional. Janet John was deeply troubled by the trauma her two nephews and niece experienced after surviving the 2021 Oxford High School shooting. In 2023, her brother-in-law’s niece, Alexandria “Alex” Verner, 20, of Clawson, died in the Michigan State University shooting.

John, whose own daughter is now 20, joined Moms Demand Action and campaigned for laws to protect people from gun violence. She celebrated the Extreme Risk Protection Act signed into law last year, which bars firearms purchase or possession by individuals deemed at risk of self harm or harming others.

On Tuesday, she joined several other Moms Demand Action members to applaud the new Disarmory Ministries, a non-profit Christian outreach that hosts gun buybacks.

While April was already a great month for celebrating freedom ahead of the 154th NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Atlanta, April 25-27, the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) also called special attention to April 7 as the Trump administration revoked the Biden-Harris “zero tolerance” policy for inspections of federal firearm licensees (FFLs). The news is important to share on this NRA hunting news website as the policy was yet one more example of how far anti-gun, anti-hunting extremists in our federal government would go to quash our Second Amendment rights.

Earlier this month, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) took to the Senate floor so that he could complain about President Trump and Elon Musk. He went on for over 24 hours. One can speculate as to why he felt it necessary to waste the time of lawmakers when everyone with even a passing familiarity with today’s political climate is painfully aware that virtually every Democrat in Congress is committed to opposing Trump and his policies.
