I’m going to be honest about something right off the bat — I’ve never been a huge fan of the 1911 platform. The similarities between the 6mm Creedmoor (also 6mm CM or 6mm CRDMR) and 6.5 Creedmoor (also 6.5 CM or 6.5 CRDMR) don’t stop at the names. Both cartridges offer serious speed, accuracy, and long-range performance. Whether you’re weighing your options for championship rifle shooting or trying to choose a cartridge for long-range varmints or antelope, both of these Creedmoors should be top contenders.
