It seems like new and “improved” hollow point bullets that hit the market every few months. Many of these defense loads are pretty gimmicky, but one that has NOT disappointed Hornady's Critical Defense line of personal defense ammo.

A U.S. District Court judge in Texas has ruled the lingering registration requirement on suppressors and short-barreled rifles (SBRs), a year after Congress eliminated the $200 tax used to justify the registry, is unconstitutional, handing a victory to gun rights advocates including the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

ANALYSIS—While a columnist at USA Today on Tuesday hailed the heroic actions of an armed private citizen and off-duty Idaho state trooper to stop the mass shooting at the newly-opened In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, there has been silence as usual from the nation’s gun prohibition lobby, save for remarks of sympathy for the victims, and calls for more gun control.

I own a couple of classic Colt wheelguns—a circa-1980s Colt Python and a Colt Diamondback from 1975—and reloading for these gems is something I don’t care to screw up, since they are essentially irreplaceable due to the memories we’ve made together.

Police have concluded that the shooting that left a man dead in Winston-Salem was done in self-defense. At around 12:53 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 5000 block of Kimbrough Street.

When it struck down New Jersey’s ban on modern semiautomatic firearms in July, a federal appeals court created a circuit split on an issue in a case the high court has been considering for over a year.
