Here’s a version that keeps Roy’s emphasis on Lapua’s consistency and accuracy while staying close to the video:
Lapua ammunition tends to fly under the radar with a lot of American shooters. We’re familiar with the big domestic names, but I’ve been shooting Lapua for years — particularly their .22 LR ammunition — and I’m continually impressed.
This Finnish company has been around since 1923, and its reputation for precision isn’t accidental. Lapua ammunition has a level of attention to detail and consistency that reminds me of other high-end European products. The company even developed the *.338 Lapua Magnum, so precision shooting is hardly new territory for them. |

Watkins continued firing inside the mall before Long intervened and fatally shot him, according to prosecutors. |

"The initial investigation revealed that the man who was shot went to a residence to confront another man regarding an alleged debt," Lamb said. "The resident, a 47-year-old Kerrville man, met the 39-year-old man at the door. The man who was shot is accused of brandishing a knife and during the confrontation, he was shot by the resident.
Lamb said the resident is cooperating with detectives.
"He has been interviewed, and at this time, based on preliminary information available to detectives, it appears he acted in self-defense," Lamb said. "Upon completion of this investigation, it will be sent to the 216th District Attorney's Office for review and consideration." |

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) has confirmed to Ammoland News that the Evergreen State’s “permit-to-purchase” (P2P) mandate for gun buyers, scheduled to take effect next May 1, will cost $126, raising alarms that for people on fixed incomes, their ability to exercise a right protected by both the state and federal constitutions will escape their finances.
One experienced firearms instructor told AmmoLand about an elderly woman student, who can barely afford to travel back and forth for lessons, will be unable to afford this permit fee. |

The Trump Justice Department doesn’t want to watch from the cheap seats when the Supreme Court takes up a major Second Amendment case. Solicitor General D. John Sauer has asked the Court for permission to stand at the lectern and argue that Cook County and Connecticut cannot outlaw the AR-15.
Sauer filed a motion on behalf of the United States to participate in oral arguments in Viramontes v. Cook County and Grant v. Higgins. The consolidated cases ask whether the Second and Fourteenth Amendments protect the right to own AR-15-platform and similar semiautomatic rifles. |

A U.S. District Court judge in Delaware struck down part of the state’s ban on privately made firearms (PMFs), which Delaware calls “ghost guns.”
Judge Maryellen Noreika entered final judgment in Rigby v. Jennings. Delaware’s bans on possessing and self-manufacturing or assembling untraceable firearms (and unserialized unfinished frames and receivers) are permanently enjoined as Second Amendment violations. The commercial distribution rules and the CAD/3D-print file ban survive. |

A pair of pending Ninth Circuit cases hang over the federal government’s challenge of California gun restrictions, prompting a lower court to contemplate staying part of the case.
Judge Mónica Ramírez Almadani mulled waiting for the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to decide two challenges in separate lawsuits against the Unsafe Handgun Act, a California law first enacted in 1999 to curtail the manufacture and sale of guns that don’t pass certain safety tests. Both cases concerning the law received favorable rulings in lower courts in the wake of the US Supreme Court’s decision in New York ... |

Today, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland issued a preliminary injunction in Silver Spring Jewish Center, et al. v. Montgomery County allowing members of Silver Spring Jewish Center in Montgomery County, Maryland to carry firearms in their synagogue, a self-defense measure. The New Civil Liberties Alliance represents the synagogue in this lawsuit challenging the county’s recently-imposed Expedited Bill 23-26-specifically, its ban on firearms in places of worship and its ban on firearms within 100 yards of any "place of public assembly.” NCLA brought the lawsuit together with Rabbi J. Menashe Shapiro, who attends the synagogue. |

Twenty-seven states, including Ohio, are urging the U.S. Supreme Court to strike down Illinois’ and Connecticut’s bans on AR-15s and similar semi-automatic rifles, arguing that lawmakers cannot decide Americans have no “need” for one of the country’s most popular firearms.
The Sept. 4 amicus brief was filed in support of the gun-owner petitioners in Viramontes v. Cook County, No. 25-238, and Grant v. Higgins, No. 25-556. The court agreed in June to hear the two consolidated challenges, putting the constitutional status of commonly owned semi-automatic rifles directly before the justices. |

Everytown for Gun Safety now offers what they call a “hunter’s course.” Its main goal is propaganda, not safety. They want to stop gun ownership before it starts by misleading their “students” with false data.
“Like every other Train SMART course, Gun Safety for Hunters is backed by data and taught by experts—in this case, hunters with decades of experience who are deeply committed to gun safety and driven to help reduce the number of hunting-related gun deaths and injuries. A 2024 study revealed a stark reality: More people in rural counties were killed by gunfire in the first week of deer hunting season than in any other week of the calendar year,” Everytown claims on its TRAIN SMART website. |

“The Possession Ban targets (1) untraceable firearms and (2) firearm frames or receivers that do not have the manufacturer’s name and an individualized serial number on them or on a major component of the firearm into which the frame or receiver will be housed,” Norieka wrote. “An untraceable firearm is an Arm under the Second Amendment. It is, after all, a firearm, and even under the narrowest reading of ‘Arms,’ ‘all firearms constitute [] ‘arms,’’ whether serialized or not. Moreover, the evidence here shows that untraceable firearms are customarily used for offensive or defensive purposes such as self-defense.” |

Around 500 people in Colorado have completed a firearm safety course and exam required by a new state law to buy certain popular guns during the first month of the law’s implementation.
That’s according to a legal filing in a lawsuit against the new law, created by Senate Bill 25-3. The law established a process for people to purchase semiautomatic firearms with detachable magazines in the state. Opponents say it is an onerous hoop to jump through to practice a right guaranteed by the Second Amendment. |

Critics of the move included de la Espriella’s rival in the 2026 elections, Iván Cepeda, who wrote on X that “adding widespread and indiscriminate legal firearm carry to a society where hundreds of thousands of people have been murdered with firearms in recent decades is a criminal decision.”
Cepeda added, “History shows us that the proliferation of weapons is not the path to protecting human life.”
Despite its high rates of gun violence, Colombia has relatively restrictive gun laws, especially compared to countries like the United States. |

The Missouri attorney general has filed a lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for unlawfully restricting gun ownership.
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway is arguing the requirement for gun owners to register suppressors and short-barreled rifles and shotguns under the National Firearms Act (NFA) is a violation of citizens’ Second Amendment rights.
“If an item qualifies as an ‘arm,’ the Second Amendment protects it, and the government bears the burden of proving, at a minimum, that there is a historical tradition of regulating arms to support the challenged regulatory scheme,” the federal complaint reads. |

President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice is continuing to search out unconstitutional gun laws at the state and municipal level and work to force those governmental entities to change their ways.
We’ve reported in the past how the DOJ’s Second Amendment Section has challenged laws in Montgomery County, Maryland, the Virgin Islands, California, Virginia, Denver and the state of Colorado for laws infringing on Second Amendment rights. Now, the DOJ’s latest target is Fresno, California. |
