The .357 Sig (or 9x22mm) may not have set the handgun world on fire quite the way Federal and SIG Sauer had hoped it would, but that isn't necessarily the round’s fault. Since its introduction in 1994, it has gained a niche yet loyal following and proven itself a worthy defensive cartridge.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas needed only a few sentences to expose the fundamental error behind most modern gun-control arguments: The right to keep and bear arms does not come from government.

The Justice Department’s new rule reviving a process for restoring certain rights to people with nonviolent felony convictions rightly recognizes that, instead of lifetime scarlet letters, we must narrowly tailor the collateral consequences of a conviction. Starting Monday, Americans with a nonviolent federal conviction can avail themselves of this process. Although the Second Amendment is at issue, the principle it illustrates is far broader: People who have served their time in prison and demonstrated years of law-abiding conduct deserve a real path back to full citizenship.

I’ve always been fascinated by the 243 Winchester vs. 223 Remington debate. Although they are similar in some aspects, the two rifle cartridges differ enough to be easily distinguishable and better suited for specific situations.

The Best Straight-Pull Design Yet? Beretta BRX1 Review

The straight-pull bolt action is not a new design by any means, but the Beretta BRX1 is a modern iteration that brings serious modular engineering to a platform designed primarily for hunters. It takes the familiar concept of a hunting rifle and layers in the practical advantages of an incredibly fast straight-pull system, true ambidextrous controls, and a caliber-exchange system that can maintain zero.

The 6.5 Creedmoor vs. 30-06 Springfield comparison is interesting, as these cartridges were created over 100 years apart. They’re often used for identical purposes, although one clearly outperforms the other in specific situations.

The 7.62x39 vs. 7.62x51 debate is uncommon. Shooters familiar enough with the rounds to compare them already know they are extremely dissimilar (despite sharing the same caliber projectile).

We fire A LOT of 9mm (and other kinds) of ammunition here at Ammo.com. Some of that happens under closely controlled conditions at modern gun ranges. Some of it is more casual – just recyclables set up on a sawhorse in someone’s backyard.

When I first started writing about Patrick “Tate” Adamiak’s plight about 21 months ago, I never thought he would be an honored guest at the Second Amendment Foundation’s Gun Rights Policy Conference, or that I would be able to interview him about his undeserved four years behind bars, but that, friends, is exactly what is going to happen.
