Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel joins 17 attorneys general to defend Californias ban on large-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

In a friend-of-the-court brief filed in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the coalition supports Californias petition for en banc review in Duncan v. Becerra, a case in which a divided three-judge panel struck down Californias ban.

A Missouri couple who made national headlines in June when they brandished guns to keep protesters off their property is scheduled to speak in the Lehigh Valley, thanks to some local Republicans.

Northampton County Republican Committee Chairperson Gloria Lee Snover said Mark and Patricia McCloskey of St. Louis will "do a rally event to wake up suburban voters about the Second Amendment, individual rights and defending your life and property Sept. 17 at Fairview Park in Palmer Township.

The crime and rioting in the Democratic controlled cities is wide spread. In many cases the publicly elected officials are supporting this destruction. Many business owners are seeing their lifes work destroyed in one night. The mayors in these cities are trying to defund the police protection.

If the police are removed, who will protect the law-abiding citizens from the criminals? Self defense is a fundamental human right.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a list of additions to the White House's shortlist of U.S. Supreme Court nominees, many of which have been outspoken on the right to keep and bear arms.

The new list of 20 could come in handy should Mr. Trump win reelection in November as the court's current nine jurists only include two who are under age 60 while another two, Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer, are well into their 80s.

"Over the next four years Americas president will choose hundreds of federal judges and in all likelihood one, two, three, and even four Supreme Court Justices," said Trump in a press conference.

In the days following a vigilante shooting in Kenosha, WI, activists and supporters launched GoFundMe pages soliciting donations for the families of the dead, the medical expenses of the injured, and the costs of the shooters legal defense. GoFundMe has since removed the legal defense fundraiser for Kyle Rittenhouse. For those who see the shooting as a case of self-defense, GoFundMe is attempting to deny a young man legal assistance for partisan reasons. Others, proceeding from the belief that Rittenhouse is a mass shooter, looked askance at Facebooks initial failure to remove statements supporting him, likening #FreeKyle to genocide advocacy in Myanmar.

Attorney General Mark R. Herring has joined a group of 18 state attorneys general to defend the ability of states to enact gun safety laws that protect public safety and reduce the prevalence and lethality of gun violence.

Similarly, those who seek to exercise their Constitutionally protected right to self defense must follow laws and apply for permits. But those who seek to physically assault law enforcement officers with deadly makeshift weapons arent subject to any waiting period at all.

It takes an extra-special level of entitlement for Marxists to attack both conservatives for supporting concealed carry and the police for using tear gas, while using their own fire bombs. Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof wants to prevent government officials from shutting down licensed firearms dealers on either a statewide or regional basis. While thinking about the topic of the general-purpose rifle, I began to consider what a corollary handgun setup might look likesomething useful for everything from target shooting to self-defense to game hunting, along with protection in black bear or big-cat country.

It didnt take long to realize that, for such a versatile role, the revolver still has a lot to recommend it. After investigating, police believe Newton fired a shot into a 2013 Chevy Malibu which contained three victims a 25-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman and a 1-year-old. According to the release, the man exited the vehicle and returned fire at Newton, before they both fled the scene. The man who returned fire will not be charged because he was acting in self-defense, LPD Sgt. Robert Kirby said.

South by Southwest is no stranger to spectacle, and one Monday in 2015, a group of armed Black activists marching through Downtown chanting anti-police sentiments became part of the Festival experience. "We wanted to change the conversation about Black self-defense, Black open carry, [and] police brutality, and we wanted to do it on a bigger scale," Dallas resident Rakem Balogun recently told the Chronicle. A Republican state representative recently scored a legal victory in his fight against a ban on firearms at the Statehouse in Concord.

The New Hampshire Supreme Court sided with Rep. John Burt, R-Goffstown, but stopped short of overturning the ban.

New Hampshire Public Radio reported that Burt filed a lawsuit in response to the ban, calling it an infringement of his Second Amendment rights. In 2018, the majority Democratic New Hampshire House of Representatives enacted a rule forbidding weapons inside Representatives Hall.

While a lower court tossed Burts complaint, the four-member Supreme Court opined that the judicial branch does not have a role to play when internal rules raise constitutional questions.

Charlottesville City Council Tuesday night unanimously voted to pass an ordinance aimed at keeping guns away from city owned public spaces and buildings.

This comes after a new state law was passed in Virginia giving localities more authority to ban firearms in public spaces.

Community members who spoke to council during public comment were split on whether or not the new gun restriction is a good idea.
