First Monday: United to End Gun Violence has scheduled this coming Feb 5 as "National Legislative Action Day". They will be manning tables at college campuses across the country gathering signatures on postcards supporting the closing of the "gunshow loophole" [sic] that will be forwarded to members of Congress.

HB1024 calls for the removal of 2 of the 18 restrictions in the current concealed-gun law. If approved by the Senate, handguns could be carried into public parks and into restaurants that generate at least 60% of their revenue from food and non-alcoholic beverages.
 

Public opinion says that the use of force against criminals is ok.

Good detailed story about a crime spree. Seems to me that a good CCW law could have taken care of this. Most people in this story have guns but didn't use them or wished they had had a gun.
