“[T]he court ... issued an order voiding the prior judgment based upon indications that the defendant [ATF], through its counsel, had committed fraud on the court,” Allegra wrote. “[F]raud on the court consists of conduct: 1. On the part of an officer of the court; 2. That is directed to the ‘judicial machinery’ itself; 3. That is intentionally false, willfully blind to the truth, or is in reckless disregard for the truth; 4. That is positive averment or is concealment when one is under duty to disclose; 5. That deceives the court.”

"Late last week reporter Tim Steller of the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson published a piece about alleged serious misconduct and intimidation from DOJ attorneys during the trial and lawsuit of former ATF agent and whistleblower Jay Dobyns against the government."
"One of the recently unsealed documents, a Dec. 1 opinion by Judge Allegra, finally explains why in October the judge voided his original decision ... The reason: The judge believed that Justice Department attorneys had 'committed fraud on the court.'" ...

... "I encourage readers to study David’s other research into the Dobyns case linked at this article. This is extremely serious stuff. First of all, it demonstrates a complete lack of professional ethics and personal moral compass. ..."

"This is a very big deal, and it goes to show the lengths that the government went to cause disrepute on Mr. Dobyns. The Arizona Daily Star reporter that David cited can’t fathom why the justice department would have gone to these lengths in a simple contractual dispute. The answer is that this is more than a simple contractual dispute. This goes to the entire obscene connection of the government with running guns to the Mexican cartels in order to justify more gun control for Americans. ..." ...

"Josh Sugarmann, executive director of the rabidly anti-gun Violence Policy Center (one of the few domestic 'gun control' groups still brazen enough to publicly advocate an outright ban of private ownership of handguns), has long argued that the gun industry depends on marketing increasingly 'lethal' firearms in order to keep customers coming back for more."

"Today is the last day of the SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) show, in Las Vegas. Writing in the Huffington Post, Sugarmann claims that, 'Behind Closed Doors in Vegas, Militarized Gun Industry Sells, Sells, Sells,' and comes across as rather incensed that not just anyone is welcome at the show:" ...

"When an editorial’s url doesn’t match the headline, it’s a sure sign that the publisher is playing silly buggers. For example, the title of Francis Wilkinson’s editorial at Bloomberg View is When Gun Logic Leads to Death. Here’s the url: http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-01-22/gun-logic-kills-kids. The change reflects the antis’ desire to sugarcoat their civilian disarmament agenda. They want to lure in the fence straddlers without scaring the horses. "Gun ownership in the United States is one of the most hotly contested debates. Widely accepted jurisprudential doctrine guarantees one’s right under the Constitution’s Second Amendment to keep and bear arms. However, the scope of these guarantees and public policy surrounding them has sharply divided partisans."

"In light of recent gun-related tragedies, the public policy debate has shifted some to focus more on mental health rather than 'gun control.' While there are current laws that bar those with mental illness from possessing a firearm, these safeguards are not stringent enough according to many. For most on the political right, blanket charges against limiting access to firearms is the wrong approach to address tragedies. ..." ...

"Big bullets from an AR-15. That’s the trend these days, what with loadings like the .300 BLK and 6.8 SPC becoming popular and (kinda) mainstream. Am-Tac wanted to design a cartridge that not only pushed a massive projectile from an AR-15 rifle, but also used standard AR-15 magazines and existing tech. Their solution: the .416 Hushpuppy . . ."

"What’s cool about this round is its size. A 450 grain bullet is seated at the tip of this cartridge, and it leaves the barrel at right around 1,000 feet per second. That low velocity also means that the gasses at the end of the barrel are low pressure, and makes them easily suppressed with a standard .45 ACP can." ...

Swapping this slide onto your gun is supposed to improve the trigger pull to a crisp, consistent, 4 lb. break. Sure enough, PWS’s factory-fresh demo GLOCK felt just like a normal GLOCK. Ten seconds later we’d swapped the slide and the trigger pull was excellent. I was shocked just how crisp it was with almost no creep at all and a very nice break.
