The Bobcat 21A and Tomcat 3032 are some of the original “mouse guns” popular for deep concealment or backup carry. They’re .22 LR (Bobcat) and .32 ACP (Tomcat) tip-up barrel pistols that have been around just about forever (or since 1984). Because of their tiny size, they have a loyal following in the concealed-carry world. And because of the tip-up barrel, they’ve been a long-time recommendation for people who don’t have the strength to rack a traditional semi-automatic slide, but also don’t want to use a revolver.

When one talks about the Bundy Family, the first thing that springs to mind is the standoff in Nevada in 2014. However, perhaps even more important is the standoff and occupation at Oregon’s Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in 2016. Indeed, the two events are often conflated because Ammon Bundy is the son of Cliven Bundy, the man who stood up to the federal government over “grazing fees” on Bureau of Land Management land.

We saved what might be the best new self-defense ammunition introduction for 2020 for the last day of SHOT Show. With those who like shotguns for self-defense, a long running debate has been which load is best, bird shot, double-ought or #4 buck? Common double-ought buck shotshells generally contain nine pellets while most #4 buck loads can have as many as 24 pellets. Double-ought buck tends to penetrate deeper, but makes fewer holes than #4 buck. Federal has found a unique alternative to this argument and it is likely the most innovative ammunition offering for the new year. It’s called Force X2.

In the 1970s, the Federal Bureau of Investigation finally designated their first standard-issue duty gun: the Smith and Wesson Model 13 in .357 Magnum, with a 3-inch barrel and round-butt frame. The Model 13 was essentially a budget Model 19, much as the Model 15 was the fancy upscale counterpart of the Model 10 in .38 Special.

If you get more than one DUI in Pennsylvania, that could result in not being able buy and own firearms at all. Many gun owners we spoke with do not think DUI convictions should take away your second amendment rights. However, a recent U.S. Court of appeals decision is raising some questions.

Tens of thousands of gun rights advocates journeyed to Virginia to defend the Second Amendment (2A), yet the mainstream media painted another picture, one that grouped 2A defenders with neo-Nazis. As Fox News reported, “several news outlets pushed the claim that the rally was made up of ‘white supremacists’ or ‘white nationalists.’ Instead, they got a rally that was so peaceful that the protesters even picked up their own trash when they were done.”

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
The writings of scholars who have written on the subject are virtually united on the point that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, not simply the state national guards. — PROFESSOR GLENN HARLAN REYNOLDS
