Rock Island Armory does it again. This time they combined the reliability of a pump-action shotgun with the convenience of a magazine-fed firearm. The VRPA40 is NOT available to the public at this time. However, it will be starting in January 2020. The list price will be $599 which is a little high for a pump-action, but low for a magazine-fed.

We all want to protect our family and friends. Gun-Control is the theory that disarming honest people will stop criminals. That is a fantastic theory, but does gun-control work in practice?

We don’t have to guess if gun-control reduces violent crime now that we have new FBI data at hand.

alifornians, who are subject to tighter gun restrictions than most Americans, are less likely than their peers around the country to store their firearms in the most dangerous manner, a comparison of statewide and national surveys shows.

The new survey, published October 9 in the journal Injury Prevention, found that 17.8 percent of gun owners in California store their guns locked and unloaded. It’s the first representative statewide survey of gun owners’ habits. It follows in the footsteps of the National Firearm Survey, a landmark survey conducted by scholars at Harvard University and Northeastern University in 2015. According to the NFS, 29.7 percent of gun owners around the country store their weapons loaded and unlocked.

Guns are going into the wrong hands every day, and Tulsa police say it's because of irresponsible gun owners.

“People are exercising their right to carry firearms more and more, and that is great,” Sergeant Shane Tuell said.

The Second Amendment gives people the right to bear arms, but Tuell says what’s not great is not taking care of your gun.

The U.S. Supreme Court decided Monday to keep an important gun-rights case on its docket despite attempts by both New York City and the powers that be in the Empire State to avoid its review by rewriting the local ordinance and changing a state statute. The case, NYSRPA, et al. v. the City of New York, et al., focuses on a New York City ordinance that severely restricted gun owners’ rights to transport their firearms. The NRA is supporting the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association in the lawsuit.

On August 13, 2019, we wrote about an extraordinary Amicus Brief filed by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) on behalf of himself and several other Democrat Senators.

The Brief was extraordinary because it threatened the Justices with a potential restructuring of the Court if the Justices didn’t dismiss as “moot” the first big 2nd Amendment case the Court has taken in a decade. The Brief was panned by right, left, and center as a thinly-veiled and inappropriate threat.

The lawsuit, filed in October 2018 on behalf of then-20-year old Tanner Hirschfeld and then-18-year-old Natalia Marshall, asked the Western District Court of Virginia to declare the gun act unconstitutional and to stop enforcement of handgun and ammunition age restrictions.

The campaign ads write themselves: Elizabeth Warren has proposed not only rolling back the popular Trump tax cuts, but she wants to levy new taxes on wealth and free speech. And, of course, on guns, too!

Yes, the same Elizabeth Warren who invented an American Indian heritage to get an unfair advantage in hiring and promotion earlier in her career. The same Elizabeth Warren who falsely claimed she was fired for becoming pregnant. And now, the same Elizabeth Warren who has arguably become the front-runner among the current candidates for the Democrat nomination for the 2020 presidential race.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all — security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again. — EDWARD GIBBON [On ancient Athens]
