"In previous editions of Good For The Country, I mentioned how wrongful death lawsuits may play an important role in reclaiming the sovereignty of the adult students murdered on a campus which had no power to stop a shooter and which frustrates the target from acting in self-defense. Yes, adult students submit to the rules of the campus or go elsewhere, I know, but this involves a reasonable expectation of a high degree of trust that the administration not only has student interests at heart, but also knows what in the world they are doing."

"When the students know more about the solution than the administration does, and then an administration won't be reasonable in its public trust, then the entire United States has a problem. ..." ...

". . . Because I don't have a license to express my views. What's that you say? I don't need a license to express myself? The Constitution guarantees my right to do so, thereby precluding the need for a license, and indeed, prohibiting the requirement for one?"

"But wait a minute--I was thinking that there was something else the Constitution guaranteed, some other fundamental human right. Something, in fact, that shall not be infringed--what could it be? Oh, yes--I think I have it. Something called the right to keep and bear arms--no, not bare arms ..."

"David Hardy's Of Arms and the Law and Sebastian's Snowflakes in Hell have pointed out something interesting about what is not happening in the wake of the massacre in Crandon, Wisconsin. The country's major civilian disarmament (aka 'gun control') groups have not had a word to say about our country's most recent shooting massacre."

"This seems, at first glance, rather surprising. As Mr. Hardy points out, the Brady Campaign, for example, has been quick to jump on shootings in which the death toll was significantly smaller ..." ...

"Many have asked what the response has been like from some of our Senators and Representatives regarding the ATF's actions. Most have been curious as to the reaction of Senator Larry Craig, who also serves on the Board of Directors for the NRA and also is well aware of the past actions of the ATF in Idaho with the murder of Vicki and Sammy Weaver at Ruby Ridge; which our Judge presided over."

"Senator Craig was also the one who sought answers when ATF D.I.O. Richard Van Loan refused to allow our competitor Blue Lakes Sporting Goods an appeal, after he revoked their license."

"The attached letter was sent to one of our supporters prior to the ordeal that Craig is currently in ..." ...

"'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.'"

"... While discovering the true origins of the quote may be difficult, finding examples of this type if insanity are certainly not."

"Only a few hours after 14 year-old Asa Coon is accused of broke numerous local, state and Federal gun control and other laws, opening fire on classmates and teachers at SuccessTech Academy in Cleveland, Ohio before committing suicide, gun ban extremists began the predictable call for...even more gun control laws. I can't think of a better example of insanity." ...

"A new Gallup poll says the gap is closing between people in the United States who support stricter gun laws and those opposed to new laws."

"A survey last week found that 51 percent support stricter laws governing the sale of firearms. Those who said the laws should either be kept as they are or made less strict was 47 percent. Between 1990 and 2000, 60 percent of Americans favored stricter laws, Gallup said ..."

"Wednesday’s shooting at yet another school has a better outcome than most in recent memory. No one died at Cleveland’s Success Tech Academy except the perpetrator. The two students and two teachers he shot are in stable condition at Cleveland hospitals."

"What is depressingly similar to the mass murders at Virginia Tech and Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania and too many others was the killer’s choice of venue — that steadfastly gun-free zone, the school campus. Although murderer Seung-Hui Cho at Virginia Tech and Asa Coon, the Cleveland shooter were both students reported to have school-related grudges, other school killers have proved to be simply taking advantage of the lack of effective security at schools. ..." ...
