"The recent spate of horrifying and highly publicized attacks in schools has once again brought attention to a longstanding problem. Unfortunately none of the 'solutions' being suggested touch on one of the real core issues of the matter. The inalienable human right to self-defense and the just and righteous use of violence in exercising that right - even for children."

"For decades the teacher unions, national PTA, and a variety of other educational/behavioral 'experts' have actively worked to instill the notion ... that, 'violence never solves anything.' They have instituted 'Zero Tolerance' policies for violence in schools, which mandate suspension or expulsion for anyone participating in any violent behavior such as fighting." ...

"As another election draws near, it is important to remember why every gun owner must get themselves, their family, and their friends to the polls. Alan Korwin, distinguished author of several books focusing on the political climate concerning firearms, is helping to remind us. He has reproduced 'The Left Wing's Gun Plan' describing goals of certain political leaders' plans to further erode our firearm rights. He claims that the list of goals was widely circulated during the Clinton Administration and was adopted as a Five Year Plan. Voting the wrong people into office next month could set this Five Year Plan into motion. How would you feel about some of the items on this list that have been included below:" ...

"It's that time of year about the election and one big topic I'm always hearing about is gun control or anti gun talk. These are brought up by people who have never fired a gun nor understand the whole point of a gun. A gun is not meant as a self defense tool although many people believe it is. It's a sport, a game. You and a few buddies take the guns out and have small competitions. Nothing different then shooting basketball or playing baseball. The reasons people think guns are bad are because of two reasons which I’m going to address." ...

"It may have been a joke, but Mayor Michael Bloomberg generated new buzz Monday about a possible run for the White House."

"'I don't want to fuel speculation, but I'd be thrilled to be a constituent of the mayor's,' said Bloomberg standing with Washintgon, DC mayor hopeful, Adrian Fenty."

"The mayor has repeatedly denied rumors he wants to be president."

"The Republican billionaire has said when his second term ends he will leave politics for philanthropy. But one of the mayor's top advisors says Bloomberg should consider running as an independent." ...

"Bloomberg has been busy raising his national profile, traveling the country, speaking out on issues like gun control and the environment."

"The Glock .45 that killed little Tylib Bailey-Henderson is a powerful handgun with a light trigger-pull, according to the experts."

"But Chad Ramsey, Pennsylvania field director for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said a gun owner can put an external safety lock on the weapon to prevent it from being fired."

"'There is also an internal safety on the trigger that prevents it from going off if it is dropped,' he said."

"Ramsey said the firearm weighs about 2 pounds fully loaded and is 6 to 7 inches long."

"'For this type of weapon it takes about 5 ½ pounds of pressure to squeeze the trigger, whereas on a normal semi-automatic it can take up to about 9 pounds of pressure,' Ramsey added." ...

"Guns are not evil; people are. Guns don't point themselves at anyone; people point them and pull the trigger. Stop thinking of it as "gun violence," think of it as violence! That is what we need to address in this country."

"Each of us has a God-given right to self-defense, and a constitutional right to self-defense with a firearm. You cannot deny someone's rights just because you prefer to trust the government to protect you. I don't. Look what trusting the government did for Teri Lee, a mother killed by an ex-boyfriend. ...  QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins ... Society is in every state a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one. — THOMAS PAINE
