... "It's an absurd and intolerable situation. Those tasked with upholding the law are arresting--and endangering-- those abiding by it. In some cases they're claiming ignorance--in others, they're apparently claiming the power to defy state law and enact and enforce their own. We need to stop it, now, before anyone else's life is disrupted, or God forbid, someone gets hurt or worse." ...

of recent comments by Barak Obama about those in rural, American, small towns being 'bitter and clinging to their guns and religion' comes a new CD/DVD by The Fischers entitled 'Don't Make Me Come Down There!' 'Stone-Cold Dead,' is an in-your-face, Second Amendment song that drives home the chorus, 'Ain't no way they're gettin' my guns unless I'm stone-cold dead!' You might remember a similar quote attributed to Charlton Heston, when he raised a ... musket over his head at a major [NRA] meeting and yelled, 'You can have my guns when you pry them from my cold, dead fingers.' The spirit of that quote is captured in this song and is sure to be a hit with those who embrace the right of American citizens to bear arms.

"Brady President Paul Helmke appeared on FOX News yesterday morning to rebut the latest NRA smear tactics against Sen. Obama."

"Paul went on immediately before ... Wayne LaPierre, and frankly pushed LaPierre off the field before he had a chance to say a word."

"Paul made it clear that after the Heller decision, nobody's going to 'take anybody's guns away,' and the NRA is scrambling for a scare tactic to keep the donations rolling in."

"But with at least four national fact checking organizations calling NRA's anti-Obama smear campaign everything from 'misleading' to ... 'pants on fire wrong,' it was all Mr. LaPierre could do to convince viewers that he and the NRA leadership weren't lying through their teeth." ...

"Truthfulness and forthrightness matter. When a presidential candidate and his running mate camouflage their actual positions to garner votes from the uninformed, it is appalling. When the mainstream media covers up the deception to promote their preferred candidates, it is outrageous. We have a right to know what the candidates' true positions are, from their own mouths, and any discrepancies should be headline news."

"To illustrate what is going on, I am going to focus on the Second Amendment issue. ... Obama and Biden say that they support Second Amendment rights, but their actions over the years prove otherwise. The media is not only letting them get away with this deception, they are aiding and abetting it. ..." ...

"My view of Obama on these points:"

"1. Obama opposes free speech and gun ownership ... Obama's attorney wrote to cable networks and TV stations demanding they not carry the NRA hunter ad that showed Obama's position on gun ownership.
