"ACORN, the publicly-funded national organization linked to voter fraud in several states is now actively interfering with the exercise of firearm civil rights in New Jersey, and the Second Amendment Foundation is calling for an immediate federal investigation."

"'ACORN has, since 1998, received an estimated $31 million in government funding,' said SAF founder Alan Gottlieb. 'Now they have intervened in a New Jersey gun rights case in defense of an illegal Jersey City one-gun-a-month ordinance that violates the state preemption statute.'" ...

... "One of the most amazing things about the present presidential campaign is how historical amnesiacs like Barack Obama and his followers can speak of 'The Lightworker' as Abraham Lincoln reincarnated without apparent irony."

"His acolytes, in the press and elsewhere, have proclaimed this second coming of Lincoln with great approval ... [but] how is it that these idiots can claim the mantle of Lincoln without irony, when Lincoln's first imprint upon the history of the United States was to sunder it into disastrous civil war?"

"Obama and Company want you to believe that they will do again what Abe Lincoln did then - Americans heaped in bloody windrows in the hundreds of thousands - and this is a GOOD thing?" ...

"Those who favor gun control fall into two basic groups. The hard core who's true goal is 'people control' and those who are just ignorant on the subject and only know what they hear in the media."

"The first group we can do nothing about. No amount of persuasion is going to change their minds because they simply don't care what we say. The other group though... we can change their minds if we have the ability to honestly and truly answer the questions that they have."

"Here are a number of references that I use on almost a daily basis. I think you'll find something that works for you also." ...

"Americans have cut back on buying cars, furniture and clothes in a tough economy, but there's one consumer item that's still enjoying healthy sales: guns. Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to government data."

"Several variables drive sales, but many dealers, buyers and experts attribute the increase in part to concerns about the economy and fears that if Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois wins the presidency, he will join with fellow Democrats in Congress to enact new gun controls. Obama has said he believes in an individual right to bear arms but that he also supports 'common-sense safety measures.'" ...

"Despite the fact that the U.S. economy is going down the drain, there is still one enterprise that seems to be doing quite well: guns. The Washington Post, in a front page story, [Oct. 27, 2008] notes that the purchase of guns and ammunition have risen ten percent this year. Specifically, the economy is draining thousands of dollars from every American household and is increasing the number of jobless persons. These unemployed and near-penniless individuals, reasons the newspaper, can easily switch to a life of crime. In addition, as things get worse, civil disorder can erupt in cities and towns nationwide." ...

"Americans worship guns. We stockpile nuclear weapons, we spend hundreds of billions of dollars on conventional weapons, and we keep handguns under our pillows. Not me, you might say: never touched a gun, never will. But you can still be part of the religion without visiting the church. ..."

"We use all manner of spurious rationales to justify our gun theology. It's a dangerous world out there, we say, and even though we spend as much on weaponry as the rest of the world combined, we need still more. At home, gun advocates hold up the Constitution's Second Amendment ... even though the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the amendment protects only the rights of state militias, not individuals, to bear arms[sic]." ...

"New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is financing a new group that will be active in five congressional races this week, supporting gun control and other measures, a spokeswoman said."

"The billionaire mayor's new group, Americans United for Safe Streets, is sending out mailings attacking three Republican congressmen who oppose most gun control, Tom Feeney of Florida (above), Steve Chabot of Ohio, and Joe Knollenberg of Michigan, for their votes against gun control measures, including tightening restrictions on sales at gun shows and the restrictions on gun dealers who have lost their licenses."

Yea, Barack Obama, he supported banning guns and ammunition, and that says it all, doesn’t it? ... contrast that with the position that John McCain and I have: that we will do whatever it takes to defend our Second Amendment rights. "An in-depth look at his record justifies their position. Not only is Obama the economic socialist Rush Limbaugh has said he is, he is also a gun-banning associate of 1960s radicals who cannot wait to take away one of America's greatest freedoms - - the right to keep and bear arms." ...
