Jesse Ventura on how he won the election, and on third-party candidates:
"Because this year’s elections are close, more than ever your vote can make a difference. Starting today, you should engage and begin choosing your candidate.
"And remember, there are no wasted votes.
"Also remember what they said in Minnesota during my election: A vote for Jesse Ventura is a wasted vote.
"Well, I wasted the Democrats and Republicans with wasted votes." |

The slide into dictatorship by Paul Craig Roberts
"Will the United States disappear on Nov. 7 -- not physically, of course, but morally and ethically as a nation of law? Everything would still look the same, but personal rule would supplant the rule of law. We could become what we never before have been -- a land of arbitrary power."
"These are the times that tries men's souls." Vote early and often!!!!

"Kitsap County's only radio station is backed by the Second Amendment — figuratively and financially.
"Two Bellevue nonprofit groups, the Second Amendment Foundation and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, already serve as minority owners with a 50 percent stake in KITZ-AM 1400.
"Within a few weeks, the gun-rights groups will own the other half of the Port Orchard station."

"In 1988, a woman was murdered in Pioneer Square by a convicted sex offender who was on work release. A year later, a 7-year old Tacoma boy was stabbed and sexually mutilated by a sex offender, whom state officials had tried, unsuccessfully, to have committed after his prison release."
Hey! I work in Pioneer Square! All the more reason for Washingtonians to have ready access to guns...if this law is stricken, we're all in serious danger. These creeps have "a high likelihood of reoffending." |

Gore folks in "Bush-safe" states are offering to vote for Nader if Nader folks in swing states will vote for Gore, thereby insuring federal funding for the Greens next time and throwing the election to Gore. I thought this was illegal. Thanks to the folks on the wa-ccw email list for pointing this practice out. |

This guy sure doesn't sound like a Democrat! He not only supports gun rights, he supports a LOT of stuff that many of us do.
The only thing I disagree with is that homosexuals should "be prosecuted like criminals." What people do in the privacy of their own homes is their own business. Just don't force it on people who think it's weird, and don't EVER try to make me hire someone because of their sexual preference! (I can see it now: Affirmative Action for Gays.) God help us. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion. — James Burgh, Political Disquisitions: Or, an Enquiry into Public Errors, Defects, and Abuses [London, 1774-1775]. |
