Being a die-hard fan of Colt 1911s as well as an owner of a Colt 1911 Combat Commander, I like many Colt owners have a pretty harsh attitude when it comes to other 1911s. It's either a Colt or it's not a 1911.

Brandon McClure, 18, and Daniel Rae, 19, are accused of stealing or unlawfully taking or carrying away any firearm from a federal firearms licensee, according to court records.

Officials with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the first in this string of break-ins happened at 3:17 a.m. Sept. 3 at the Not Just Guns store located at 411 North Cedar Street in Mason, Michigan.

Three people broke into the store through the back of the building and stole one gun, officials said.

The best and worst thing about social media is that others can and do respond to whatever we post—and they can do it in anonymity. This is something Michael Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York City and the backer and funder of just about every gun-control ploy known in modern politics, learned again on Dec. 16 when he tweeted: “21 students are shot every day—because of Trump’s unwillingness to act. Between protecting the NRA and our children, he’s made his choice. Which is why we need to beat him.”

New Zealanders had until Friday to surrender banned firearms under a mandatory government buyback after the country's deadliest terrorist attack. The last time winter bore down on Virginia, Gov. Ralph Northam was living in the shadows and had few vocal allies. His party was about to have a shot at rising from the minority, and he was on the sidelines.

As Northam dives back into the season of legislating and ice, his political reality couldn’t be more starkly different. His power is heightened, and his confidence appears renewed.

During my emergency-medicine internship in the Midwest, one of my first patients was a 4-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. The bullet came from his father’s .357 magnum, which the youngster had found. As he played with the gun, he accidentally shot himself in the upper thigh.

A judge on Friday denied a "stand your ground" defense for a Lauderhill convenience store owner who was caught on surveillance firing an AK-47 at a customer during an altercation in 2017.

Saf Ahmad, 30, claimed self-defense in the Christmas Eve shooting at the Kwik Pick store that stemmed from an argument with a customer.

The incident began when a customer entered the store and threatened to shoot up the place because of a fight that happened earlier that day where the store's employees beat up the customer's friend, police said.

Virginia Attorney General Mark R. Herring issued an opinion Friday that there is no legal weight to the "Second Amendment sanctuary" resolutions being passed in localities around the state in reaction to potential new gun-control laws.

If the General Assembly passes new gun restrictions, “they will be enforced, and they will be followed,” Herring (D) said in announcing the opinion. “These resolutions have no legal force, and they’re just part of an effort by the gun lobby to stoke fear.”

Here’s some good news. While House Democrats were wasting time Wednesday, Senate Republicans spent the day voting on more than a dozen Trump judges!

Leader McConnell told talk-show host Hugh Hewitt that in his two terms, Barack Obama appointed 55 judges to the critical appeals courts, just below the Supreme Court. Donald Trump has appointed 50 appeals court judges in just three years.
