"The on-going attacks to the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding American citizens by the [ATF] has been relentless under the current administration."

"ATF agents in Phoenix supplied firearms to the Sinaloa drug cartel, apparently in hopes of causing enough bloodshed along both sides of the border with firearms originating from the ATF plot to justify a ban on the semi-automatic firearms they were delivering to narco-terrorists. To this day, not a single ATF agent involved in the plot has been fired, and none have been criminally charged. Instead of complying with congressional investigations into the plot, the ATF and the [DoJ] ... have stonewalled investigators, resulting in Holder being held in criminal contempt of Congress." ...

"As the nation celebrates 'Presidents Day' today – honoring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln – it might be a splendid time to talk about the Second Amendment and what an editorial in yesterday’s Valley News in West Lebanon, New Hampshire suggested are 'sensible gun regulations.'"

"The editorial discussed 'a modest package of gun control measures' that were the subject of a public hearing last week. Noting that 'Hundreds of Vermonters turned out, most of them against the measure,' the newspaper suggested that the opponents may be playing Chicken Little. At issue is a proposal to extend background checks to private gun sales 'with a broad exemption for transactions within an immediate family.'" ...

"Readers of the Knoxville News Sentinel may have seen a recent letter to the editor (subscription required) deriding the bill proposed by state Sen. Frank Niceley, R-Strawberry Plains, and Rep. Kelly Keisling, R-Byrdstown, for a Tax Holiday for guns, ammo, and related equipment. The Farragut writer states,"
"To exempt guns and/or ammunition from taxation is beyond belief."
"He doesn’t realize, perhaps, that the very medium he is using to eschew that weekend tax exemption is itself exempt from tax 365 days per year. How much more revenue would the state receive if it required sales tax be collected on all newspapers?" ...

"In a blog piece at American Thinker yesterday, Michael Filozof, warned readers that Obama is using executive agency powers to make an end-run on the 2nd Amendment by banning ... the 5.56x45mm, 62 grain, M-855 military round. Mass-produced for use by our military, it is quite popular among American gun owners due to its relatively low cost. Ammunition manufacturers producing billions of rounds for military use have no problem in turning out an extra billion for civilian shooters. The ready availability of 5.56mm leads many American shooting enthusiasts to purchase very large numbers of the civilian versions of the military rifles that fire it."

"I used to work with a guy who would occasionally reference the one that got away. A woman so good, so pure, and so joyous that he spent the rest of his life a confirmed bachelor (in the Victorian sense). In a startling coincidence, I have also had one get away. Not a woman, of course, but a holster. She was a Don Hume, and a real beauty at that. Fitted perfectly for my Glock 19, it was the most comfortable I’ve tried, allowing me to carry a nearly full-sized pistol in the appendix position. I don’t know what made it so good, but I regret every day that I let it go. And all the Kydex girls in the world will never compare to that homely looking Don Hume . . ." ...

"My go-to FFL, Best Buy Surplus, has always had a steady supply of LE trade-in GLOCKs. Suffice it to say, they’re fans of the genre. "'It’s official,' Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America jefe Shannon Watts pronounces at huffingtonpost.com, 'the phrase 'open carry' has entered the American lexicon. That’s because gun extremists from Virginia to Washington to Texas and all across the country have started showing up in restaurants, state capitols, and other public places openly carrying loaded semiautomatic rifles. Occasionally donning kilts or gas masks and other attention-getting attire, these extremists look as though they are headed to battle instead of visiting their legislators or picking up milk at their local Kroger grocery store.' The heart of the matter being adjudicated in a wrongful death suit is whether an illegal sale occurred by Juneau gun dealer Rayco Sales and whether or not civil liability exists. "By executive fiat, the Obama administration intends to eliminate one of the most common types of .223-caliber ammunition, used by the AR-15 and other general-purpose rifles."

"The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced on Feb. 14 a proposed ban on the manufacture, sale or importation of a popular form of ammunition used by thousands of law-abiding gun owners. This puts all law abiding citizens at risk and should convince current and potential customers of First Citizens Bank (FCB) to reconsider patronizing this, or any bank, that puts customers in harm's way."

"What problem are they trying to solve with the ban? ... bank robberies hit a 10 year low in 2014 of 91 (as of Nov. 30), down from 267 in 2004.
