Hall County is now a Second Amendment Sanctuary. County commissioners Tuesday voted to approve the measure in response to new gun control measures being proposed by President Joe Biden. A Second Amendment Sanctuary is a state, county or local body that has adopted a law or resolution that opposes the enforcement of certain gun control measures.

The Fremont County Commission and Sheriff have signed a resolution to make Fremont a "Second Amendment sanctuary county.” Citizen Harold Donahue asked the governing board to adopt the resolution, which reaffirms the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms in defense of self or state. The document also states that neither the county nor its sheriff will expend any resources or personnel to behave contrary to the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

When it comes to Second Amendment issues, the Daily Mail has a very low bar to clear. Being based in the United Kingdom, it’s understandable if their coverage of the debate over our right to keep and bear arms has a few mistakes. But their coverage of Biden’s latest power grab just shows why loyal AmmoLand readers should point their friends and family to our coverage.

The Illinois State Police has given another 150-day extension to people whose Firearms Owners Identification cards or Concealed Carry Licenses have expired due to a backlog in processing renewal applications. A panel of state lawmakers gave approval Tuesday to that emergency rule after ISP officials assured them that the agency had made significant progress toward clearing a backlog of renewal applications.

In my younger days, I spent a great deal of time in the duck marsh. Showing up late to my first class in high school was not unheard of and neither was disappearing from my last class. Where I come from, if the weather is right, nothing can stop a determined duck hunter from getting knee deep in cold, icy, muddy waters in the hopes of bagging a limit of birds.

Democrat strategists are reportedly worried that Joe Biden’s current gun control push could make the party “vulnerable” during the 2022 mid-term elections, according to MSN.com.
Biden has launched a radical gun control agenda and gun rights organizations are fighting back. According to the MSN story, “One North Carolina-based Democratic strategist said voting on an assault weapons ban would help fuel Republican arguments that the Biden administration is coming to take their guns.”

Last week, the Assembly Public Safety Committee voted to pass Assembly Bill 1223, to place an additional excise tax on firearms and ammunition, and Assembly Bill 311, to restrict firearm “precursor parts” from display or sale at gun shows. The committee sent AB 1223 to the Revenue and Tax Committee, and AB 311 to the Appropriations Committee for further consideration.

When it comes to concealing a firearm a lot of people do not understand or know what they should be looking for in a holster, the authentically correct or best orientation to situate their holster, and what is an acceptable level of concealment. I understand both sides of the coin when it comes to selecting holsters because I am a consumer and own dozens of holsters, but also sell them daily through my family’s gun store.
