A suspected burglar was shot dead by a Washington state homeowner Monday, who pulled the trigger while still on the phone with a 911 operator reporting the break-in, officials said.

The King County Sheriff's Office said on Twitter the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. in White Center, located south of Seattle, after the homeowner woke up to find the suspect inside his home.

Submitter's note: Never forget that the liberal democrats would take away the means to defend yourself in your home.

LANTANA, Fla. – Sheriff's investigators say a Florida father chased down and shot a man who stole his car with his 6-year-old son inside.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's officials say 29-year-old Lamar Thurman remains in critical condition following the shooting early Saturday.

The father and his friends called 911 and drove after the vehicle. Sheriff's officials say the group followed Thurman for five miles, where he crashed the car. As they went to grab the boy from the car, Thurman drove away. The father pulled out a gun and started shooting. The boy wasn't injured.

Thurman is on probation for carjacking an 86-year-old woman in 2016.

A man who police say attempted to rob a Mount Clemens gas station Wednesday had the tables turned on him when a worker opened fire.

The shooting left the alleged armed robber wounded, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators say the suspect entered the Mobil at 116 S. Main at about 5:10 p.m. wearing a mask and wielding a handgun to rob the patrons as well as the clerk.

The employee, who also was armed, shot the man at least once before deputies were called to the scene, sheriff's officials said. No other injuries were reported.

The alleged would-be robber was hospitalized. His condition was not known.

Later, it was reported that Gunderson said he was attempting to disarm Custer in order to beat him, and that he (Gunderson) was high on meth, marijuana, beer and moonshine. Keven Custer had a 9 mm pistol, a Springfield XDS, in a hip holster.

Gunderson continued the attack. On the floor, Custer drew the Springfield and fired six shots, striking Gunderson in the chest, abdomen, groin and arm. Custer then fled the apartment. Custer called 911 and reported the shooting. When the police arrived, the unloaded pistol, magazine, and one cartridge were on the ground. Keven Custer was sitting on the curb, waiting for the police.

A British gun enthusiast is losing his firearms licenses after U.K. police branded his YouTube channel an extremist forum due to viewer comments others made there as well as his statements advocating handguns for self-defense against terrorists.

Dubbed in the London press as “a campaigner for shooters’ rights,” the 28-year-old man “confirmed that he lost his gun licenses because of police concerns over extremist content on social media” on his YouTube channel.

The man had a successful video channel for four years called “English Shooting” that had over 17,000 subscribers to his channel that featured a wide variety of pro-gun shooting topics. Episodes contained titles, such as:

On January 9th, 2019, Dianne Feinstein introduced the Assault Weapons ban of 2019 to the United States Senate. In the authoritarian left’s endless attempt at complete social control, Feinstein has made it her goal to ban guns as small as the Ruger 10/22. Feinstein and her supporters justify this in the name of safety. While one may have sympathy for one’s desire for safety, basic logic refutes this claim. In fact, there is nothing that could make a physically weak person safer than a gun. It must be made clear that all gun laws are infringements. There is no compromise on fundamental rights.

The measure passed Monday 64-17 in the House and 37-7 in the Senate and now goes to Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb for signature. It includes other gun regulation changes, one of which may allow guns in churches located on school property. The potential law enables the property owner on which the churches are located to govern the gun policy. The final part of H.B. 1284 waives a fee for five-year state handgun licenses.

Rather, the real problem is what happens when politicians criminalize otherwise law-abiding people’s means of self-defense.

If you increase regulations and penalties against private firearms ownership anywhere, that enforcement is going to disproportionately affect populations and areas that experience more crime and more police presence. Period. In reality, the people who would benefit the most from more gun freedom are law-abiding people in high-crime areas, where gun control laws will make it that much harder to defend themselves. And yes, that would also include young black men who want to keep and carry a firearm to keep themselves safe from people who already decided to break laws that already existed.

The gunman demanded money from both the gas station clerk and at least two customers who were inside of the gas staton's store at the time.

"The clerk, who was also armed, shot the suspect," Yax said in the release.

We still had two states that didn’t allow for any carrying of firearms, and in only one state could a legal gun owner carry without a license. Now every state has, in theory at least, a way for individuals to carry a firearm for self-defense, though eight states still restrict that right by demanding “good cause” be shown before a permit is issued. Sixteen states, on the other hand, now recognize your right to carry without a government permission slip. And later this year, for the first time in a decade, the Supreme Court will hear another Second Amendment case, this time challenging a New York City gun law.

According to one official campaign statement, Gabbard has supported the usual list of anti-Second Amendment legislation we have come to expect: A ban on modern multi-purpose semi-automatic firearms, arbitrary limits on magazine capacity, “universal” background checks… that list goes on and on. In other words, her votes are those of a typical anti-Second Amendment extremist. She also voted against preventing the District of Columbia from enforcing its draconian gun laws, and she also opposed HR 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.

Every year, more Americans purchase a personal defense carbine rifle, usually an AR15, for the purpose of home and vehicle defense. In doing so, they multiply the effectiveness of ballistic protection in comparison to a handgun. The higher velocities associated with rifle-caliber cartridges deliver far better performance than slower-moving handgun rounds. Even for those who opt for a pistol caliber carbine, ease of aiming and the resultant improvements in accuracy can make a longer gun a top choice for protecting home, family, and business.

It also may be avoidable — which was the hope of New York lawmakers who passed a bill last month to require gun owners who live with someone under 16, or who know that someone under that age could access their gun, to lock up their firearm when it is not in use. Failure to comply would lead to a fine or a misdemeanor.

Though supporters called it a common-sense measure, the bill, if signed into law, would make New York one of just a handful of states with such comprehensive gun storage laws, according to Allison Anderman, senior counsel at the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
