State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Chief Stewart said the issue poses a dilemma for law enforcement. "On its face, maybe you would say it doesn't make any sense to have more guns out there. But at the same time, how can you tell an honest person he can't have a weapon, when you know how much of the criminal element is carrying weapons?"

But it's unlikely the Senate bill will pass, even though it was approved
May 23 by the Judiciary Committee. Opponents have filed objections that
prevent it from being debated.

"Like thousands of Japanese parents, Rikukawa always thought hers was a safe and tranquil nation, a society free of the guns, drugs and urban violence so common in the US."
...
"She can't expect others to help her," Rikukawa said. "She has to learn how to protect herself."

It's not much of a leap beyond this crucial realization to the understanding that the most effective tool for self-protection is all but illegal in Japan.

This article appreared in the San Bernardino County Sun. I agreed to give Miss Cardona an interview in hopes that we would be treated fairly. All in all we got a fair shake. But she left out quite a bit, and as always gave the Communist the last word. Not to mention the fact that she spelled my name wrong ;)

"Their only hope is to break JoAnn McGuckin's will and mind. That is their sole hope of protection. The tactics are so similar to what we heard coming out of Nam about mind control (brainwashing) that it's frightening.

"Velcome to Hanoi County, Idaho. Velcome to Amerika. Ve are free."

"Together with Senator Lieberman, he sponsored a gun show bill that would bury gun owners under a mountain of red tape and invest the Secretary of the Treasury with unlimited power to regulate gun shows. Even inadvertent violations would be punished with federal prison time.

"Gun owners in Arizona are infuriated by their senator's transformation into a gun-bashing supporter of greater government power. Representatives of some of Arizona's many gun rights groups offered their comments for this column." by Dr. Michael S. Brown

Defense attorneys said it was simply a potato. Prosecutors argued it was a silencer. In the end, a jury decided a man who wielded a gun with a potato stuffed in the barrel was guilty of using a silencer-equipped gun in the commission of a drug crime — a conviction carrying a mandatory 25-year federal prison sentence.

For the purpose of this discussion, we believe that no other rights are relevant because if every individual right other than those four were violated -- although it would be an unspeakably evil act on the part of the government, justifying immediate and unforgiving resistance --by D. van Oort & J.F.A.
