The video of this incident shows Mr. Baca being chased and struck with a skateboard by one assailant, being pursued while he was backing up, shouts in the crowd to kill him, being tackled and struck, and then being confronted with another assailant wielding a knife in a menacing manner towards him, Bowles wrote in a statement. A Virginia sheriff has apologized to a black pastor who was arrested earlier this month after he called 911 to report that a group of white people were trespassing on his property and taunting him with racial slurs.

The pastor, Leon K. McCray, 61, called the authorities during the confrontation, which began when he saw two people hauling a refrigerator to the dumpsters at the apartment building he owns in Edinburg, Va., on June 1.

Since the Supreme Court sidestepped making a significant decision in a much-watched Second Amendment case from New York in April, all eyes shifted to 10 other gun cases that the justices were considering. Most shooters know the difference between the Sight Alignment and Sight Picture concepts. Both are very important for aiming and getting hits on target using iron sights. And you should know which Sight Picture Hold works for you and your guns iron sights. There are some significant differences between getting your front and rear sights lined up vertically and horizontally (Sight Alignment) and placing those aligned sights on target (Sight Picture.) The purported rationale for the ban was to protect the Capitol building from damage and to protect staff, legislators and visitors from any safety hazards caused by signs or sticks, a statement from Hopes office said.

Carrying a sign into the Capitol is protected by our First Amendment right to free speech, Hope said. By allowing guns in the Capitol and not signs, we are sending a message to the people of Michigan that we respect one Constitutional right more than others.

A would-be robber was injured in a shootout when the person he tried to rob fired back. Metro Nashville Police officials say the man approached someone in the parking lot of Opry Mills Mall, showed them his gun and demanded their things. But that's when police say the person also pulled out a gun in self-defense and the two exchanged gunfire.

A lawsuit against New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham over COVID-19 orders that shuttered firearm retailers has been dismissed after the restrictions were lifted.

The conservative-leaning Mountain States Legal Foundation (MSLF) and Second Amendment rights groups sued the governor in federal court in April because the state's COVID-19 order that closed some businesses included gun stores.

Lujan Grisham later revised the order to exclude licensed firearm retailers, allowing them to reopen with restrictions.

Kenosha County voters may get to weigh in on whether Wisconsin should be declared a Second Amendment Sanctuary State via advisory referendum in November.

The Kenosha County Legislative Committee voted 4-3 Tuesday to advance a resolution calling for the referendum to the County Board for consideration.

Voting in favor were Amy Maurer, Mark Nordigian, Lon Wienke and Sandra Beth. Voting against were Andy Berg, Boyd Frederick and Edward Kubicki.

The vote followed action by the committee to reject a resolution to declare Kenosha County a Second Amendment Sanctuary County. That vote also was 4-3, with Sandra Beth in this case voting against.

Congressional Candidate Chris Jacobs (NY-27) was given an A rating from the Gun Owners of America New York (GOANYS) following a vote by members at its recent meeting, and an A+ Rating from the Second Amendment Show.

The second straight week of peaceful protests continued on Monday, June 15, as dozens of people gathered at the corner of Cherry and Fifth Streets demanding justice for Julius Juice Sampson Jr. and the repeal of the Stand Your Ground law.

According to the police report, around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance at BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse, 192 Hanes Mall Circle. Before officers could arrive, the call was upgraded to a report of gunshots being fired and upon arrival, officers found Sampson unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Sheriff Mike Lewis withdrew his Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution that was set to be heard by the Wicomico County Council on Tuesday. He told the council that given the current atmosphere with the widespread unrest over the death of African Americans at the hands of police this was not the time for such a resolution. Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush caught up with Lewis after his appearance before the council.
