Of course you’ve heard the name “George Soros,” often invoked as a sort of folk demon on the American and international right, it’s likely that you have some vague notion of why you think he’s a bad guy, or maybe you think the whole thing is a bunch of hype.
However, if you’re a freedom lover, there’s nothing “hype” about the influence that George Soros has around the world attacking your freedom. Indeed, you probably vastly underestimate the influence that he has on politics. |

Yesterday, Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) filed a motion for preliminary injunction in its federal Second Amendment lawsuit challenging Nevada’s unconstitutional statutes enacted in Assembly Bill 286, which established a new, confiscatory ban on all unserialized, self-manufactured firearms as well as all “unfinished frames or receivers.” The filings in Palmer v. Sisolak can be found at FPCLegal.org. |

New Hampshire-based Sig Sauer recently debuted a pair of new pistols from their Custom Works program, the P320 XCOMPACT Spectre and P365XL Spectre. Both Spectre series pistols are 9mm striker-fired handguns that feature the all-new LXG Grip Module with laser engraving on all four sides, a deep trigger undercut, and extended beavertail. The Spectre slide has a distressed finish and custom lightening cuts. Both include XSERIES flat triggers, XRAY3 Day/Night sights, and optics-ready slides. |

Earlier this week, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors considered a proposed ordinance banning firearms in certain public places. File 21-320 prohibits possessing, carrying, or transporting firearms, ammunition, or components in or on county-owned or controlled buildings, parks, and recreation centers. There are no exemptions for concealed handgun permit holders or for storage in parked vehicles. Because this ban includes “components,” citizens may find themselves in legal trouble for accidentally entering one of these “gun-free zones” with something as simple as a shell casing forgotten in a pocket or accidentally left in a vehicle. |

Imagine the social-media ire if you posted a picture of a brand new gun you received or gave for Father’s Day. A shiny new gun with a bright red ribbon on it—oh the horror. The woke mob would light their figurative torches and try to cancel you from virtual existence. But the woke mob, despite their volume and control of the mainstream media, Hollywood, and Big Tech, are actually a small group of loud people who are filled with fear.

Philippines-based Armscor this month debuted their first striker-fired pistol, the Rock Island STK100, which comes to market with a very Glock flavor but an alloy frame. The STK100 has an aluminum grip, which the company bills as making it more durable while imparting a smoother feel with less felt recoil and flex during the firing process, translating to improved accuracy. With a 17+1 9mm capacity, it has an extended beavertail grip with a 1911-ish grip angle and comes from the factory with an optics cut for MRDs. It is also compatible with most aftermarket parts for Gen 3 Glock 17s.

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott signed a full schedule of Second Amendment reforms into law last week while at the Alamo. The seven bills included measures to bring permitless carry to the Lone Star State, make Texas a Second Amendment Sanctuary State, prohibit the state government from closing firearm-related businesses during emergencies and prevents “woke” corporations who receive taxpayer dollars from discriminating against the firearms industry.
